That’s almost irrelevant though, since very nearly no one is using tiktok (or any other short form video site except maybe Shorts because of how it shows up while browsing regular youtube) via its website. This is Lemmy so I’m sure some nerd here has some weird reason to want to do so, but they’re an astronomically tiny minority of users.
- Comment on Pentagon expands Grok AI into classified systems despite rising scrutiny outside US 2 weeks ago:
This doesn’t fix anything. It kinda localizes the problem to within the former borders, sorta, maybe, at least temporarily. But balkanizing a nuclear empire just leads to a bunch of smaller, ever more deranged nuclear states, with all the same problems, but now an enormous amount of internal conflict and bloodshed, without stopping much of the external conflict and bloodshed. It’s not like Yugoslavian breakdown went well or anything, and this would be more of that but on the scale of the USSR or China. If we’re gonna get out of this, we need to do it at least sorta together.

I don’t know wtf this nonsense is even trying to say, but whatever it is it’s deeply offense to those of us at lemmy.blahaj.zone
- Comment on US will complete TikTok deal ‘in coming days’ and control its algorithm, White House says 4 months ago:
The greatest thing about getting the ttmc version of tiktok outside of the lack of ads is the very international algorithm. A solid half of the content I see (besides the 2 video “popular” injection that happens every 8-10 videos) is from outside the US.
- Comment on Illinois, Michigan see union membership gains after state policy changes 4 months ago:
Damn, that’s impressive given the last 50 years of steady declines in membership nationwide. Waiter, more of this please

Had my pixel 7 for 3 years now going strong with no issues and great performance, as long as you’ve got a good case they’re great phones (not a fan of their glass backing though).

Genuinely, what the hell are you doing in this community? I’ve never read a more snide and condescending derision of an entire field of labor based on an entirely corporatist, anti-worker, grindset worldview on this forum to date. Following this line of thought across our society leads us to an absolute fucking dystopia, and somehow you’ve not only internalized it and self aggrandize about how you pulled yourself up to the next level of success by your bootstraps, you’ve went and tried to argue that asinine point in a community focused on strengthening the rights, powers, and well being of the common worker.
Why are you here?
- Comment on Boston Dynamics humanoid robot shows off whole-body moves 5 months ago:
Recent history has led me to be highly pessimistic about this being translated into positive life improvements for regular people ranger than simply further enriching and empowering billionaire lords and police and military megaaparati, but the people at BD seem to be genuinely interested in ensuring their inventions are firstly used for good, so that’s nice.
- Comment on UAW president: ‘Deplorable’ that Trump stripped union rights for federal workers 10 months ago:
Mandatory reminder that unions, and strikes, existed long before the law “allowed” them to, and they’ll exist after as well.
- Comment on MLK’s Legacy Is One of Class Struggle. To Fight Trump, We Must Carry His Torch. 1 year ago:
I mean sure but there’s also tens of millions of us who voted against him who’d quite like to fight to not be plunged into dystopia.
