After 25 years of marriage (no kids), I can say that, if you make the right choices, you can have both lol. We both played WOW for a decade or two off and on, and still game, just less passing out, less online, and less Doritos… Because age.

yermaw@sh.itjust.works 1 week agoI tell my single friends it pretty much balances out. Being in a relationship (albeit a healthy one) definitely makes you happier, but it comes at a constant price of compromises.
Loving someone and being loved is great, but i do miss playing online games with my microphone on until I pass out in my underwear covered in doritos dust.

Yes. Relationships always require ongoing compromise. No two people are identical in their desires or needs.
For some people the benefits of a relationship offset the need for compromise, for others they don’t.

Why would a relationship be in the way of that? My partner would have zero issues with me doing that, as long as it doesn’t become a concerning pattern
