Gross in the this makes me insecure because I use makeup to hide my imperfections and compete socially kind of way?

Gross as in, you’re changing the face that someone is presenting to the world, because you think you know better than they do how they should present themselves.

What the fuck? Are you saying the app like sends the result to the person, and says SEE?!? I think it just shows the user a picture, tbh. But yeah it’s probably not super accurate anyway.

Who is better suited to know how someone can better present themselves than those having the experience of being presented to?
Maybe that doesn’t help you at work, or competing with the other girls, or manipulating people, or avoiding being gossiped about, or managing your self-hatred over how you naturally look.
But it still might be true for the person changing the presentation to better appeal to their preferences.

Who better? Anyone who is not you, because anyone else would know not to say anything because nothing needs to be said.

So if I go out wearing a Star Trek and encounter someone who wants to meet a Star Wars fan, then I’m in the wrong for choosing that shirt?

And that’s bad because…? Surely you don’t blame the individual for this?
minorkeys@sh.itjust.works 1 month ago
I didn’t say it was bad. Not did I cast blame. Two giant leaps there.
