  Felony false alarm or report under Texas Penal Code § 32.06 for saying she had heard reports of hospitalizations from drinking the water, but the police had not heard any such reports. She’s now suing the city.

      If the police didn’t hear about it, how can anyone be sure it really happened? Seriously though, it sounds like there was more to it than just that, since she said her lawsuit will include a specific (but unnamed in the video) city council member.

  Fox News Channel is a far right cable “news” channel. This is a segment from a Fox Broadcasting affiliate in Dallas. They are not the same thing.

  Saw this earlier this morning. Was not surprised it was Texas. Government there doesn’t really care about the citizens and is most concerned about keeping power.

  Public reports of basic civic failures that cause sickness and death would obviously be silenced.

  Notice the lack of urgency by the mayor and other authorities, and the fact she had to file a civil case to get any response at all.

  The movie Brazil was supposed to be absurdist. It was not a model for governance.

    This is what authoritarianism is. Laws don’t matter, say or do anything that is critical of the state and you’re in handcuffs.

      Unclear. There were reports on Facebook, but they weren’t verified. That’s part of what she was trying to do: get information on the hospitalizations
