The times where the democrats had full power with a good margin were the best/least bad legislative periods the USA has ever had. Yes, yes, they are bad in so many other ways. Yes, just voting for them isn’t going to just fix everything.
But I NEED online leftists to shut the fuck up if they don’t have a better option for the 4 hours once every 4 years it takes to vote. What exactly are you doing with exactly those hours that it having such a big impact on the world? Bitching online? Reading theory for the 50-th time?
You people can’t even revolutionize what you eat for justice, yet you expect an instant, bloody revolution to magically spring forth purely from online shit posting.
Does it take four hours to vote in USA?! That is insane.
I’ve never spent more than 4 minutes the four times I’ve voted in the general election in Norway. That is in person voting. If you also include waking to and from the voting place, add 10-20 minutes, walking.
Depends on the location in the US; I can walk/bike to mine, and I’m usually in-and-out in 10 minutes or less. Some places intentionally make it harder to vote though. There might be reduced polling locations (tend to see that in minority heavy areas), long lines (like, hours waiting long), limitations on early voting for people with scheduling issues, etc.
The worst is the absurd straw men they create about those of us who are willing to hold our nose and vote for the lesser of two evils.
That makes us “Blue MAGA”, which they desperately want to be a thing. It’s not.
It automatically means we’re dirty liberals who believe in “blue no matter who”.
Oh, when Mamdani won his primary, you guys abandoned “blue no matter who” and went back to “party unity my ass.”
Fucking tell me, and they’ll scream at leftists that they essentially elected Trump with their vote when most of us still voted for Harris. We’re just tired of it and letting you know now we’re not playing this stupid game of ratchet effect any longer.
You’re playing “hammer to the nuts” game instead, because that’s the only other game in town. And in case it needed to be said, it’s a worse game to play, there is no winners there.

People who helped to elect Trump, by action or inaction, are way more pro-genocide. In terms of people genocided, it’s a worse outcome. There was no ideal outcome on the table, the one where genocide just stops, but there was possibility for the deescalation. Not this possibility is gone and wouldn’t return for a long time, and the only people who are at fault there is American voters, who collectively saw the possibilities and chose the worst one.
What exactly are you doing with exactly those hours that it having such a big impact on the world? Bitching online?
You nailed it. They’re going to cry like babies without providing any viable solutions because they can’t accept the reality of the world they live in and instead defer to wishful thinking.
I try to convince myself that most of them are young, maybe even under age. Cuz if grown ass adults are displaying the lack of critical thought they’re displaying, then this nation can only collapse.
