If Americans ever learned about not invading foreign nations and killing a bunch of people and making them hate you… They wouldn’t invade foreign nations and kill a bunch of people and make them hate them.

We kinda did, why invade when you can just give a faction that benefits you shittons of diplomatic and financial support to achieve power, then military aid to keep the population from resisting. But this type of approach doesn’t work against countries that don’t let it, hence why you see a different track for Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea.
