Attempt was made. The recipe said to simmer the tomato base for five minutes and it should be ready for the eggs, but because I used crushed tomatoes, it took longer. Will report back after taste test. I'm just glad I actually made something, even if the capsicum wasn't julienned.

Shakshouka? Good choice. I’d have it with bread, hommus and yoghurt. I put hommus on most things though.
