Capsaicin and IBS is an unsafe mixture.

I’ve heard people say Taco Bell is so greasy it gives them the shits, but I just don’t think that’s objectively true. You open up the classic bean burrito or taco and if anything it’s too dry, you need the sauce just to level it out. I’ve never actually known someone to have bathroom issues after taco bell. Real life experience just doesn’t agree with the joke.
I heard someone posit that people who say that are reacting to beans because they don’t normally get much fiber and their body can’t handle the sudden influx.
That said, taco bell isn’t good for the most part.

I have IBS and Capsaicin has never been a trigger for me. I can eat spicy food all day and be fine, but if I even so much as look at a piece of romaine I’ll be on the toilet all evening.

It gives me diarrhea but I’ve also found that any other fat food place does. I almost exclusively eat food I’ve made at home so I just assume their must be something different with the food at fast food restaurants in general.

I had issues afterward, but my best guess is that it was the flour tortillas + gluten intolerance. Even happened when I ate the potato tacos that had none of the powdered meat, beans, or plastic cheese in them.

I am firmly of the mind it’s because the extra fiber added in the meat while also generally having beans and either they get too much and do have the shits, or are constipated so often, a normal soft poo feels like diarrhea to them.
