I’m glad you asked. This is something I never realized how often I have brief flashes of curiosity about before I yolo it and never bothered looking up. As soon as I saw the title I was looking forward to reading what people had to say.

I still have and play the game sometimes. I would have loved for it to be what I envisioned but it’s still the most enjoyable evolution based game I’ve played. I should look and see what else might be available. I really like the concept.

It does make it less funny when someone tries to politely correct and is wrong vs belligerently doing so with inaccurate information though.

I like it, surely such a society has reasonable means for law abiding and respectful people to integrate. Do you have a website or something where I could start the process?
- Comment on Differences of Opinion by Wendy Cope 2 weeks ago:
I feel like a lot of topics could be covered in a 1 semester course that explained the scientific method, why it’s important, difference between a theory and idea, statistics, misrepresentation of data, narrative tuning in media and reporting, proven study and information retention methods. Just like a ‘this class is going to teach you to study, research, retain, and grow with the knowledge you learn throughout life better’ course. Right now a these foundational things kind of exist in some capacity but it’s easy to blow over it and just get a grade without realizing what’s actually going on while your teachers are attempting to teach. I don’t know, it’s probably dumb but I think a lot of people don’t have the tools to accept and grow with a knowledge base that is constantly evolving and maturing. So instead of maturing and growing they dig into their preconceived and learned emotional safe space deeper and deeper until they die.

I’m not saying it’s specifically legal, I’m saying the police never pull anyone over for speeding on this particular highway unless they are going over 10mph over or have another reason to stop someone. Almost everyone goes 5 over. A decent amount go 10 over.
- Comment on Be The Sunshine ☀️ 2 weeks ago:
That actually is illegal where I live though. If you are in the far left lane going the speed limit and not letting someone pass you will get an impeding the flow of traffic ticket for holding up a vehicle trying to go above the speed limit. In my experience that will be prioritized over ticketing the speeding vehicle.

I regularly have my cruise set at 10 over, going 80 on the 70 mph highway. Most people seem to only go like 75. In well over a decade of traveling forty miles each way doing this and not once slowing down when I see a cop in the median have I ever been pulled over. I like when cops are in the median because then jackasses tend to move over. My adaptive cruise keeps me several car lengths back but it’s still annoying that people just hang out going five over in the far left lane when there’s no other cars around. I prefer not to pass on the right but I’m not sitting behind some jackass for miles just because they think they own a lane off the road. It pleases me the dozen or so times I’ve seen a cop whip out and I’m sure they think I’m going to be pulled over for passing on their right going faster than them and so far every single time their dumbass has been the one the cop pulled over.

I kind of like how it’s ever changing and evolving, I know that sours some people’s pickles but I think it’s neat. I like how it incorporates and is built on so many other languages. I enjoyed reading a short story posted here a while ago that progressively walked backwards in time as a language and it was really neat to me. I’m an idiot though so most other languages probably do this also.

I can think about how a cow looks, colors, patters, what a cow might do but I can’t visualize anything. I didn’t know there was a word for this or that people could actually visualize things in their mind. I thought it was just a turn of phrase.

That’s so cool! I’m going to read up on that after dinner. Are the game it’s in worth playing or is it going to supporting a shit company?
- Comment on Anon is a gamer 4 weeks ago:
I’m not sure which one of you I agree with. I think both kind of. I’d like for there to be a way for a small investor or team to get their feet under them and build a successful business but I also think it’s naive to think that’s what ever happens, usually it’s giant companies submitting endless unused patents or buying them to add to their closet of unused patents.
I’ve seen so many cool innovative products people have come up with just to have them swiped at scale by China. I always try to buy the more expensive original when I notice. I’m not upset at China or trying to throw shade either but it’s got to really suck to be those folks that go through all the work to design something build everything up and within a week of sales see clones hitting Amazon and being pushed over yours by the algorithms.
I think in general I just hate everything about how things are and feel like original inventors, designers, and creators should have a protected incentive to come up with the cool stuff they come up with.

I miss my old four cylinder Tacoma sometimes but my mini van is so much more practical. I have a trailer and hitch when I need to haul something I don’t want in the van. I looked at Tacomas again a few years ago and was floored at how big they were, I swear they are the size the full size tundras used to be.

I’ve tried it, nothing special or that surprising. I’m sure most involved fathers have tried it? I didn’t sit around drinking the stuff but I would help fill the bottles and bags and when warming it up at night I would drip it on my wrist to make sure it wasn’t too hot and lick it off. It never crossed my mind as anything that would seem weird or gross I guess. She never had a reaction if she was up and around when I did it.

That isn’t true, of you regularly milk a cow there is no reason to impregnate it again. The cow will continue producing milk as long as it’s regularly milked . It’s the same as human woman, that’s how you end up with some mothers breastfeeding for a creepily long time. Our own species behaves in the same exact way, why does this continue to get repeated.

I played poker with a group recently and they were trying to make bs wild cards before each hand, like fives and eights are wild, and other stupid shit. I just folded every hand and somehow I’m the asshole. I didn’t complain or even comment, I just folded. Apparently it’s a fun way to play for some people, I think it’s stupid af and had no interest in participating.

In my twenties I’d wake up at 4am, hit the gym, work pulling wrenches until around 2-2:30, get home and do chores for an hour or two, eat, go for a run, shower, then watch tv, play video games, or go out with friends. I don’t live a completely sedentary life but I do work at a desk all day. I go for a couple walks every day and complete my chores. It’s not that I’m a constantly exhausted heap as I approach fifty but there’s absolutely no way my energy levels are close to what they were twenty years ago. My joints swell up if I push myself too hard and my muscles take longer to heal/recover. It’s still worth doing the things but I’m going to be watching my step and make sure I have my footing these days when twenty years ago I wouldn’t have cared if I slipped down a few rungs on a ladder if it saved me thirty seconds getting down.
