That makes the whole SPEW thing even more hilarious. Imagine a black girl starts a campaign to end slavery of house elves, and everybody makes fun of her. The fucking author’s position ins that the elves actually prefer slavery and Hermione is stupid for trying to end that.
I mean I’m on your side sort of, but in the books most of the Elves do prefer having a master and not getting paid. Which one could and probably should equate to slavery.
Hogwarts is like a super prestigious job for the house elves and none of them want to be paid or freed. Although idk who their master would be technically. They sort of imply it’s the headmaster at least.
Winky is just broken after she gets freed. Or fired as she sees it. A hit to her honor, and then she becomes a drunk when they go to work for Hogwarts with Dobby, but even then Winky refuses to get paid iirc.
But yeah there’s a lot of out of context things. Fuck Rowling but I still like Potter. Not gonna give any money tho

JK pushed a tweet out explaining that she always envisioned Hermione as a black girl.
It was at the beginning of her descent into madness.

I swear y’all talk out your ass so much of the time, I get Rowling is a shitty terf but lying about content of the books is just stupid.

I would watch a black Hermione rip Harry and Ron some new ones.

Off topic, but I dig black Velma in the reboot.

Sorry to disappoint, but Velma is Indian in the reboot, as Mindy Kaling is Indian.

Not disappointing at all
