Now if we enforce a policy like this, that would mean more than half of the times someone walks in and needs the seat to be down is in luck, but the rest has to do double the “work”. And if someone goes in after someone who would have otherwise left the seat up, they too do double the work, so the seat changes position 4 times instead of once. I think it’s much more “just” to simply change the seat whenever you need it and sometimes you will even find it in the position you need it.
