When did the pronunciation change from N-E-S to Nes?
Of the people I knew as a kid, the “N.E.S.”/“Nes” divide was about even (I’m in the US)

When I was a kid we just called it a Nintendo. We didn’t start using any pronunciation of “NES” until later consoles were out.
I use both interchangeably, though the SNES is always just Snes.
I’ve never heard anyone refer to either as nes or snes, it was always spelled out.
Ah, the Sneeze.
I hadn’t heard “nes” until very recently. Was always N.E.S. to anyone I talked to. Granted, I’m 39. I thought for sure it was the next gen that started calling it that.

I’m not in an English speaking country, but I never heard it pronounced N-E-S
