Hah. I know likely comedic misunderstanding but, in case it was not clear, the 27-year-old pedo was the gross one.

They deserved it. They should have known to wait 13 years to date a 14 year old. The equation is 1/2 your age +1.
… The formula is 1/2 your age + 7 tho.
So for that 27 year old dating a teenager it would certainly not be okay. 27/2=13.5+7 which i would generously round down to 20 years of appropriate minimum age.

Half your age +7 is the correct one. Works surprisingly well.
