  If you just want to do singleplayer Java edition, last I checked you can use MultiMc to launch with no account.

  Still some bullshit even for those of us who transferred our accounts. We were supposed to get access to all future versions (and it was at least heavily implied that meant across different platforms) with our single early purchase.

    The amount of aggravating bullshit Microsoft introduced made it so I dread when my daughter asks if I can get it working for her, despite having bought it once as an OG, and at least once since. Badly tarnished maybe the game of a generation or era of gaming imo.
