This is how such a title picking menu looks like in Austria, in this case for the newsletter signup form of a supermarket chain:

No one in their right mind would put this word into a children’s book though, it’s absolutely not colloquial. So I suspect sometijng weird going on in the original image.
- Comment on These dames wanting inclusivity 5 weeks ago:
Not sure where you grew up culturally, but that seems like a very foreign concept to me personally. We use “boys”/“guys” and “girls” to demote young men and women. No one here would get the idea to use “male” and “female”, which to our ears are purely biological words.

Guy probably is between 16 and 25 and doesn’t want to be an adult lol
- Comment on James Bond films stall after Barbara Broccoli clashes with Amazon Studios, report claims 5 weeks ago:
No, they co-own the IP. Barbara Broccoli’s Danjac LLC is the other co-owner.
The rights to James Bond, and consequently the rights to make any kind of movie featuring the character, are owned exclusively by Danjaq LLC and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
So theoretically Amazon can not dictate anything on their own. They need to be in agreement with Broccoli.

Israel as a state or the Israeli people? Because most of the jewish immigration to Palestine happened before 1945

Because otherwise: no, obviously absolutely not.

I figured it’s Johnson because it’s always Johnson… Andrew Johnson after Lincoln and Lindon B. after JFK

Meh it’s the 60 year old man’s decision to fight. Your argument is in the same vein as “you can’t fight against a woman”. If they want it, so be it.

Nature catastrophes are the top 1 danger to nuclear energy. See Fukushima.
And the real question here would be a comparison between risk of a nuclear accident event and a renewables-impacting climate event.

For curiosity, where did you advertise the community? In the “new communities”/“find a community” communities? In music-related communities? Or both?
- Comment on Stop whining. Do it yourself. 2 months ago:
Yes, you could create a community on reddthat (if that server allows for new communities to be created and hasn’t disabled that feature).
No, they don’t need to be all related. A server admin likely would tell you “hey please don’t create this one here, because this server’s focus is xy”.
- Comment on Stop whining. Do it yourself. 2 months ago:
I mean, that redirection then needs to work. At the moment, nobody in the Movie/TV communities is redirecting me to a specific TV show community saying “hey this exists, you can also post there”. Etc etc.
- Comment on Stop whining. Do it yourself. 2 months ago:
That popup idea is something that could work, and something that one could suggest on Lemmy’s github for implementation.
- Comment on Stop whining. Do it yourself. 2 months ago:
Your instance does need to know about these communities existing first though. For recently created communities on another instance that might not be the case. Which is where services like Lemmy Explorer help.

I’m sure that those agencies have been contacting top players for that game over the last few years. But if those simply dont want to work for them, thats moot.

It’s an Obama type technique. Sure, you might blow up a few innocents, but the rate of eliminated enemies vs killed innocents is better than in traditional warfare, so a numbers guy would always go for that one.
