I’ve seen some blueprints who use 3.5. I guess it’s close enough but definitely not too small
- Comment on What's an absolutely medium quality game? Not great, incredible or terrible or any single ended extreme. Dead medium quality 1 day ago:
The original single player is so bad I’m certain it was just cobbled together as a demo of the engine and for inspiration for user content. Then the team had time to develope proper story with the expansions
- Comment on Microsoft wants a version of USB-C that “just works” consistently across all PCs 2 weeks ago:
I remember not being able to play some games due to having a powerful enough graphic card but the wrong “kind” so neither option was good. At least I can use any card with any standard program now
- Comment on Microsoft wants a version of USB-C that “just works” consistently across all PCs 2 weeks ago:
I do enjoy DirectX and the Plug and Play standards though
- Comment on Anon is an audiophile wannabe (he uses .mp3) 2 weeks ago:
Depends on the age, AoE1 had a lot of .wav
- Comment on "I don't know" how much Borderlands 4 will cost, Gearbox boss says, but it had "more than twice the development budget for Borderlands 3" and "it might be" $80 like some Nintendo and Xbox games 5 weeks ago:
I’d gladly pay 80 bucks for games, Ive paid way more than that in 40K, Warmahordes and Advanced Squad Leader.
If digital games would give me the same kind of “ownership”, like full access to the code and free reign to modify the rules sets as well as spreading those changes to friends and strangers I wouldn’t hesitate to spend similar amounts. However digital games, even physical on disks, has too many limitations as riders for that price to be motivated

I am always terrified of meeting moose while hiking, especially with calves. I didn’t know they specced into the terror tree against humans but it does explain it!

I don’t think so, science deals with reality and math are just floating around

The hobby antimatter bomb makers are just the new version of gunsmiths working out of their garage workshops
- Comment on American Truck Simulator is adding a road trip mode where you drive different vehicles, 'say, a powerful pickup or even a sports car' 2 months ago:
It’s also on windows
- Comment on Make gravity your bitch 2 months ago:
Does gravity do work or is it just reactive? If it doesn’t do work, doesn’t it match endurance exactly to you?

I usually go with meteoric iron, that’s specific enough that they want to take a closer look

It’s like having an EEEPC running XP rather than Linux

I would just worry of asbestos or heavy metal contamination in the buildings, especially if I’m sleeping on or near the floor

Astarion has real power-bottom twink energy for sure
- Comment on That explains a lot 3 months ago:
The sun is debatable, since I think we already use it’s photons both for photosynthesis in plants, heat (although we could get infrared warmth from the hole) as well as other benefits
Why shouldn’t we holify Jupiter? It would be a testament to our technological progress as well as helping us study black holes "close"ish by rather than in labs
- Comment on That explains a lot 3 months ago:
If we could make Jupiter a black hole, would that be stable enough to not radiate away? Other big body we have access to is the sun and I feel we would suffer more side effects of turning that into a hole compared to Jupiter
- Comment on Meow 3 months ago:
I love babies as a concept and the joy they bring their parents, but me and my partner are child free by choice, and part of that choice is us not wanting to care for an infant.
- Comment on Entropy? Never heard of it. 3 months ago:
I very much prefer CO2 in my drinks, some other carbon captures get you CO and I’ve heard that’s not as good as a drink carbonator

It’s horrible when taking the bus for example. Just sitting minding your business and the BAM spontaneous sex with the busdriver and everyone gets late for work

I got a Kobo epub reader, made it way easier to just pick up a book when I have some spare time
- Comment on nature be freaky like that 4 months ago:
For the universe start with the “First and Only”, for space marines I recommend “Brothers of the Snake” or “Horus Rising”
- Comment on Switching teams in middle of a match!? 5 months ago:
Not if you heat them up from storage, you can actually have any temp you desire by using a meat thermometer
- Comment on Is there any (single player playable) game under $10 or equivalent which has made you point any go "ha" or given you an equivalent feeling because it was that enjoyable for every moment you played it? 5 months ago:
Settlers2 with the Return to Roots together with RCT2 (OpenRCT) as well as Supreme Commander are still racking up hours of my free time

Playing Morrowind with the “use optimal attack” switched off did offer variety even if thrust was by and far best
