Lol, OK. Yeah. Didn’t think about caveats. :D
- Comment on Multiverse 3 weeks ago:
Ah, fair enough. So that’s similar to “infinite universes of infinite possibilities, except light can never go faster than 300.000 km/sec”?
- Comment on Multiverse 3 weeks ago:
In an infinite list of letters, every single book ever written, every word ever spoken (and to be written/spoken) should be present no?
I guess the only caveat is that in an infinite universe certain physical laws could be universal (which would prevent eg any universe to break the speed of light)? But some version of me having hair past my 30s should certainly exist no?
Or am I getting this completely wrong?

Don’t want to get into a whole argument, But ltt suggested to stop throwing dirt. GN turned around and just continued slinging dirt. Just feels weird to me.
- Comment on Would not adding a stamp and return address on a letter give you free postage 4 weeks ago:
Depending on your local postal laws and how willing your postman is, it would either get delivered, and the delivery address gets asked to pay, or it would not get delivered. Or it would get delivered, with just a little complaint note attached.
I’d argue the risk of non delivery is probably relatively high in most countries.
Place where I live has super good postal delivery. My workplace gets quite a lot of post. They deliver it with a little note to inform you postal fees should be paid.

A whole lot of shit slinging at LTT for no real reason. At when LTT rebuked the claims and suggested to stop doing so and work together in the future, GN just decided to double down and continue.
A bunch of childish stupid drama tbh, but very one-sided.

To be honest, GN is not worth your viewing time anymore. He’s just trying to stir drama on tech YouTube for the sake of starting drama…
He got multiple olive branches offered to stop the drama and he just threw them on top of the fire. He’s being a manchild for no reason.

Cheers. Rom hacks are like indie gaming lite. Some of them are great fun.

Or native gestures in Firefox. Either would be perfect.

- Comment on Vivaldi polishes its browser, adds a dashboard • The Register 3 months ago:
Yeah, as long as Firefox (or a fork) doesn’t have native gestures, I can’t fulltime swap to it. Gestures addons are not the same. Anyone that used vivaldi (or opera) for any serious length of time knows what I mean.
- Comment on Why EU leaders should get off Musk's X 5 months ago:
I work for a large eu government agency. Why the hell they still insist that we promote our workings on Twitter completely eludes me. It does not make any sense whatsoever. They should get off and stop promoting that cesspool. Go to any of the myriad of competitors or just go back to Facebook and Instagram…
- Comment on Why is prostitution called sometimes world's oldest profession? 7 months ago:
What’s the last time you met a gatherer doing it as a profession and not a hobby?
Hunters are a little bit more common, but still, full time food hunters are rare.
Prostitutes on the other hand.
So as a simple saying used in a daily life, I can kinda see why it’s used :)

In what world is paying 40usd for a game and 3x 30usd for 500h of entertainment not a good deal? (not particularly aimed at you, but at dlc haters in general)
I am glad when they release a dlc. I get more great content. They get some more financial support.
I am 100% against cheap cash grabs. I am 100% pro multiple well made extentions for a game that allow me to support the studio.

Just a few dlc/expansion packs that were totally worth their money
All Rimworld expansions. Diablo 3 reaper of souls/ D2 lord of destruction The witcher Ballad of gay tony Star craft ones Red alert yuris revenge Horizon zero dawn frozen wilds
Etc… There are good expansions that are totally worth their money and add to the overall game.
That being said, I’m not a huge dlc fan and rarely spend money on them if they don’t really add to the game. More partial to spend on dlc for smaller studio games rather than large ones.

Considering how lazy I am, there is no way my brain would bother with all the little details I see everywhere when I go out. When I’m at a busy station or crossing and I literally see thousands of different people walk by, not a single repeat face? Proof enough for me this is real tbh.
(and if you go the simulation way, who cares? If a simulation can give billions of ppl their own lives, feelings, dreams and hopes, it does not matter in the slightest to the ppl living in it that it’s real or a simulation)

Nothing stops you from commuting by bike. My best friend commutes over 40km by bike every day. Due to eternal traffic jams he’s not even much slower than going by car, he also almost gets to go in a straight line rather than following highways. Get out of that US centric mindset and realize a lot more is possible by bike than you might think.

Yup, I know. So until Firefox has native lvl gestures, I won’t switch :)
- Comment on The fall of Firefox: Mozilla's once-popular web browser slides into irrelevance 1 year ago:
Nope. Doesn’t allow gestures on internal pages. Eg new tabs, menu, settings, etc… It doesn’t work in the entire browser
- Comment on The fall of Firefox: Mozilla's once-popular web browser slides into irrelevance 1 year ago:
The day Firefox gets native mouse gestures is the day I swap. Until then will continue to be a very happy Vivaldi user.

This should be higher up… This whole topic is such a big nothing burger. OP and everyone jumping on the Google sucks bandwagon most likely just suck at using a search engine or run into shitty AI articles (which you can’t really blame on your search engine of choice either…)
I personally have 0 issues to find whatever I’m looking for in 3-4 searches at most. Skill issue rather than algorithm issue imo.

Try to hum the song to Google assistant. Chances are it’ll get it right with just 3-5 seconds of humming. L2use the tools at your disposal tbh

Tbh, in summer I sleep with the airco on 27c. Where I live summer gets a nice and toasty 30c+ 24/7 @ 80%+ humidity. 25c feels amazing compared to that.
Before I moved here, I’d also have said 20c was ideal though :)
- Comment on If only it was like that 1 year ago:
Same for c, but at half the scale tbh. (with a bit of a stretch to the imagination)
50 is very hot. 0 is cold. 25c is perfect.
