- Comment on Linux gamers on Steam finally cross over the 3% mark 1 week ago:
I’ve definitely seen angry people respond to windows bug reports on various apps. Is the Linux community worse? Anectodally, I would agree with you. Its also fine to have a preference, and I understand needing to besmirch your own because some people on Lemmy are toxic particularly around open source projects, but like, I try to not stoop to that level. I am happy youve generally had a good time bug fixing in Windows, unfortunately I switched away because my graphics drivers regularly crashed on Windows and I’ve never had said issue on Bazzite. Could it be my fault somewhere? Sure. I’ve had a better time since I left, though. Guess I’m a fart sniffer. Just wanted to voice that not everyone has had this experience, is all. Have a good one, hope you cheer up.

I’m on a 5090 and bazzite has (in the majority of games and apps) just worked.

Protonvpn has a flatpack. Check your distro’s app store for it.

Sure! Here’s an MMO without many series-defining features that you can add in iteratively throughout the game’s lifespan to someday become a complete and compelling product! Then, you can shut it down and do it again!

Yes, many many hours. That game is also mostly positive, but the nasty players are hard to move on from haha. I still love the game overall.
- Comment on Unexpectedly wholesome exchange after a poor performance from me in Rematch 4 months ago:
I’ve been loving Rematch. This kind of team game reveals that, at least to some people, positivity and learning through mistakes will make a team stronger than negativity and shouting. Most of my games have been amazing, and the angry players seldom win. I always hit left dpad early on to get the ball rolling.

Never is a strong word. Element has made a lot of progress and I can see the potential in it to compete with some of these platforms.
But no, it’s not there yet.

It was, I misread the conversation above. I don’t know what the situation was with the ps4->ps5 upgrade.

Like entirely new movement models, gun animations, car details, and texture fidelity for supporting a good feeling first person view.
- Comment on The Top 3 Apps in my Country (Venezuela) are all VPNs... 9 months ago:
While I am deeply disappointed by the message, their actions in the industry have still been generally positive over the years and their services remain one of the only reasonable alternatives to google, apple, and microsoft’s cloud services. Outside of the VPN, Their UX still needs work before I can say its ready for the average person - but It’s still good enough for most people here who have some base level of technological literacy.
Though I am now looking for and hoping for an alternative to crop up somewhere.

OK but this is the storefront without DRM. It’s the biggest one that doesn’t make you rely on it.

I eat fast food only when I use coupons to pay $6 or less for a meal. (Was getting one from McDonalds for $3.50 but they removed the coupon I used smh).
- Comment on Warner Bros. Admits MultiVersus Underperformed, Contributing to Another $100 Million Hit to Revenue in Its Games Business 11 months ago:
I feel like this game suffered from releasing in an unpolished state. Its competition is Smash bros, which is incredibly polished but has bad networking. Even with smash’s issues though, it felt way better to play than this did. They could have fixed all the issues, but the first taste I had of the game was negative, and I just don’t feel like it’s worth my time to go back.
With so many games coming out, I feel like the first impression is more important than ever, but more and more games are instead releasing in a poor state with the idea of fixing it later if it makes money.
- Comment on Some guy complained this fishing game only caters to queer players, so the dev added a "straight" title - it costs $9999 11 months ago:
I love this game. Also the title does indeed have the dpublequotes around it, which no other title does. Last update fixed a lot of things and generally made the game nicer to play.

I would also love a Kirby air ride game… But seeing how they did tennis and golf, I don’t want today’s Nintendo to make it, if that makes sense.
