Also these days I’m curious about brocoli and cheese soup. I should make one before it is too warm.

Hard choice. I don’t have a favorite but I love instant minestrone as a quick warming meal. Anything packed with chicken bouillon is perfect for winter and sickness. I really like velouté especially ones with leaks or mushrooms (or both) but one that taste like home to me is a pumpking velouté thikens with rice. I also love hrira and chorba but anytimes people start talking them people fight for the sake of their recipe so I’ll rather change subject.
What about you? Do you have a clear favorite?

Cider vinaiger. But that’s my personal taste. Balsamic vinaiger is probably fine.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
Add a tablespoon of balsamico vinegar (this may be a bit controversial).
Well… You’re soup doesn’t have any kind of acid. Not even tomatoes and if one things need acidic balance it is lentils.

- Comment on Avocado. Is it really so untasty or I am doing something wrong? 2 months ago:
In France (a non tropical country with imported avocado), we eat them tender but not yet muchy, sliced in half, the kernel out and vinaigrette in the cavity left. The vinaigre balanced out the fattyless of the flesh. In other recipe, it would be mixed with something in small cube in a salad, as a spread in a sandwich or a cold sauce (in that case muchy) and they bring the fat of the dish.
Avocado straight out the fridge might have less flavor than if it sit for a bit outside of the fridge before being eaten. I never found avocado sweet but I only eat cheap imported one pick up before maturity.

down to calories in, calories out.
No it does not. Of course you can, and should of the best of your ability control how much calories, goes in but there is two ends to a digestive system.
A healthy body evacuate from the other end of the system most the excess calories taked in. If your body doesn’t do that. There is something wrong with it.

Are those called flails? I’ve always assumed if a word is the same in french and german, it must be the same in English. I thought they would be called morgenstern or maybe morning star.
