- Comment on Did something about mass produced ice cream change like 10 years ago? 1 month ago:
There are social media videos I seen where the cheaper brands of ice cream no longer melt, even after days of sitting on the counter. Same for the cheap ice cream sandwiches. Days and they don’t lose their shape.
I wouldn’t be surprised to find out they no longer need refrigeration beyond the preference of enjoying it cold versus warm.
Many parts of the EU often has North American travellers amazed how well they feel while eating their during their vacations and how awful they feel when coming back to the north American diet. What’s a few chemicals many will say.
It just seems everything from bread to pasta, dairy, meat, desserts etc doesn’t seem to make you feel as awful as north American food can.
I love Haggen Das vanilla ice cream. It’s not the cheapest but it’s one of the cleanest I can find among the big brands. Walmart etc usually has it the cheapest.

I wonder if the ruling against Google for paying apps etc to have their search engine be the initial default has eaten a lot of the funding Mozilla counted on

I ended up on this last year as I was exploring the South West. I found it confusing even as a Canadian.
I then later was confusion when Google Maps told me to go 80 on Hwy 10 in Texas once I came up from Big Bend NP. I thought the GPS was confused. 80 kms on the highway in the US? It was then I realized I wasn’t in Oregon anymore with their 60 mph highways. Texas goes fast and even 80 mph isn’t enough for most people. Even the single lane highways with construction workers was 65 mph work zones in Texas.
It was the most amount of road kill I’ve ever seen in all my travels. I think at one stage a herd of goats must of tried to cross the highway based on the carnage I came across. I finally understood the reason for the huge bumpers on the front of trucks in Texas now.

There’s public washrooms like this in a mall in Seattle, or at least there was a few years back. Half height stalls. When one is sitting the walls only come up to your elbows. One of the most bizarre setups for a public bathroom I’ve seen in my travels.

Well based on the American consumer trends they will basically eat anything that remotely looks or smells like food so I’m sure some cost cutting accountant thought this was a good idea…
Wait until they replace them with plastic alternatives with a food like coating in the years ahead…

For me coming from the Westcoast with lots of rain at sea level the lack of drain fields around the houses in the Prairies was a similar moment for me when I was looking at homes for a move many years ago. Their drain spouts just run out into the yard above the ground. It was a what the heck is going on here?
Their basements are also fully enclosed under ground. On the coast we require a secondary drain field just for the down spouts and the basements are only halfway in the ground so it was very strange to me.

I have to wonder what the scar lines from the various transplants and hair tucks would look like.
I’ve read he’s had a lot done to close the gap and make the George Constanza Ceasar’s crown into a full head of hair. That’s a lot of ground to pull up over. I don’t think it would look so smooth.
I can’t even imagine how much time he needs to spend each morning to get that thing ready for the public. That’s a lot of hairspray. Combine that with the orange spray tan and the makeup it’s not a 5 minute job.

- Comment on What even is the point of delivery anymore 11 months ago:
I’ve not really used the new food delivery services and with the cost of fast food and freshly made food in supermarkets rising so much as it was, I’ve actually started making basic dinners at home for myself instead.
I also now buy premade frozen things that I can just pop into a toaster oven for those lazy nights. Probably on par or better than the fast food anyways despite the extra effort of buying ahead of time.

Yes most management falls into this category. If you ain’t running a prison with the staff something is wrong as we can’t possibly trust these people!
