- Comment on Keir Starmer announces plan for supervised toothbrushing in schools 11 months ago:
Why do we have such teeth decay issues? It’s going to be too much access to sugar which is linked to obesity.
Maybe get more dentists and dentist visits back in schools?
- Comment on Truss-supporting economists call for minimum wage to be frozen, then cut 1 year ago:
We have to pay top wages to attract top talen you know…
- Comment on Derelict site on London’s Billionaire’s Row ‘has space for 300 homes’ 1 year ago:
Gosh the pr spin from right wingers blaming immigrants and demanding more houses would be unreal if a millionaires empty home was purchased by yhe council to house people.
They will take your shinty 1 bed flat next!

Panda hate is a common thing in conservation circles. Money on conservation that is spent on Panda could be effectively used elsewhere etc.

I don’t know what any of this means. Can I get a dumbed down explanation?
- Comment on What is going to happen when people realize climate change is rolling in? 1 year ago:
One of the real issues that people will see the immediate impacts of is increased migration. People will not be able to live in coastal areas, Pacific Islands or near the equator.
It’s already happened in S.America with convoys of people on foot trying to get to better places but the spin has always been these are illegals and nothing more.

Millions of people marched in protest of the Iraq war Good luck.
- Comment on Prepayment fears delaying smart meter roll-out, warn MPs 1 year ago:
When hourly price changes opportunity become the norm, people will want them. Part of managing the lecky grid will be nudges to change behaviour e.g EVs set to charge when demand is low.
- Comment on JK Rowling prefers two years in jail over using correct pronouns 1 year ago:
It could be classed as a hate crime. Don’t worry you ain’t going to get jailed for accidentally using the wrong pronouns.
- Comment on Tory candidate shared post using foul language towards struggling parents 1 year ago:
That theory is a bit lost when someone doesn’t need the latest smartphone to begin with. Even if they were to break after 18 months, which they aren’t and the market is certainly moving towards devices lasting longer, its easy to pick up a decent mid range or flagship for half that price monthly or comparable second hand.

My local library has signs up asking us to use the services as much as possible. Everything is recorded for budget reasons. They can justify there place if they can show we have x visitors for y.
Why are they doing this? So the council can decide which library is under performing so it can be closed so people can go to the big library in the city centre.
It’s a terrible plan.
- Comment on Tory candidate shared post using foul language towards struggling parents 1 year ago:
That’s possible and will happen, but most likely it’s that within the group who can’t afford a 30 quid contract, there will be a contingent who will take it out anyway and that smaller group will get the headlines and that’s what they will chat about.
It ain’t as sexy to talk about then people who budget relentlessly to make ends meet and still struggle.
- Comment on Tory candidate shared post using foul language towards struggling parents 1 year ago:
Yes. But we will continue to do it. I have no idea when it will stop.
- Comment on Tory candidate shared post using foul language towards struggling parents 1 year ago:
I dunno man. I used to be on the dole, it was something like 56 quid a week? Anyway, I didn’t have the money to go into a mobile phone shop and get shopped into a 30 quid contract. I had the bog standard pay as you go.
Seo and getting dunked on by salespersons are not good excuses for why the state should manage a persons money. If you are skint, you tend to be really good at budgeting.
The issues tories have is with people who want to have it ‘all’ and not cut their cloth accordingly.
Granted I’m fairly sure if every poor person sat on their hands all day, they’d complain about that too.
- Comment on Tory candidate shared post using foul language towards struggling parents 1 year ago:
Yes.
- Comment on Tory candidate shared post using foul language towards struggling parents 1 year ago:
Texts are typically free these days, especially at 30 quid a month.
- Comment on Tory candidate shared post using foul language towards struggling parents 1 year ago:
Yeah, I agree with this. However there’s prolly more people who were not doing well financially prior to the contract compared to those who were fine and then suddenly in the shits.
Tories are weird, they want us spending money and aspiring us to achieve more yet seemingly want people to sit in a dark room eating gruel.
- Comment on Wales' 20mph speed limit: How has the first month gone? 1 year ago:
Indont understand the logic of ‘theres tailbacks now because of 20mph’. Surely there are tailbacks because someone is doing 20mph and someone is doing 30mph.
- Comment on Tory candidate shared post using foul language towards struggling parents 1 year ago:
A £30 contract is not needed to have a phone to browse the website.
- Comment on What is the Israel thing going on? 1 year ago:
Hamas have plenty of backing. Israel may suffer heavily if they get into a protracted war by invading Palestine.
- Comment on What is the Israel thing going on? 1 year ago:
It depends on who you chat to.
The Rhetoric from Hamas (militant organisation who seek Palestines liberation, also deemed a terrorist organisation by numerous countries and organisations such as the UK), who are backed by Iran is literally we will wipe Israel (jews) off the planet. After having the Nazis and other groups attempt to do that previously, there is definitely an argument that they are defending themselves and have the right to do so.
Would you ever feel comfortable with a neighbour who is a murderer even if you owned a gun?
Palestine isn’t recognised globally as a country whilst Israel is a ‘Western’ country in the middle East and the ally of many countries such as the UK and USA.
Also Palestine and Hamas are not the same thing. Its like sayingb the KKK is representative of all of the USA.
The whole situation from its inception after ww2 to now is fucked.

I remember being offered a free gift if I left a positive review, this back in 2018.
Can’t trust reviews from members of the public. Either bribed or Best product ever after 16s of using the product or one star because the delivery took to long.
- Comment on Big Oil wins huge battle for Tory policy 1 year ago:
What’s interesting is about six months ago my father in law who works for Shell informed me they are effectively ditching their renewables investment and going hard on oil and gas again, which is what the American companies have done. Six months later, boom, Rishi kertows to the very same industry.
- Comment on Tony Blair says junk food should be made too expensive for the poor to afford through new sugar and salt taxes to tackle obesity 1 year ago:
How is BK cheaper, they are so expensive? It’s like 5.99 for a whopper. Or is this something like feeding your family the 280 calories saver burger which is £1.50?
