Hard disagree for me.
There are tons of ways she could upsell her videos and this shirt is not one of them. It’s a pretty regular shirt any woman can wear. Thinking she’s trying to look sexy for the videos is making assumptions that she shouldn’t be wearing that on camera and she should be more prude, because otherwise she’s just “using” her appearances to gain viewership. This is not twitch’s jacuzzi streams, just a normal woman presenting a video.
- Comment on What does DLSS do, and what's up with DLSS 5? 2 weeks ago:
Frame gen, in my experience, is worse than upscaling. At least upscaling has some uses (but about 10% of what they say in marketing materials). Frame gen just makes the game have worse latency for disgusting frames that barely look like the base game.
- Comment on What does DLSS do, and what's up with DLSS 5? 2 weeks ago:
I sure hope the games run better when enabled, it’s effectively running at lower resolution and upscaling. It’s just a fancy resolution select marketed as genuine improvements.
- Comment on What does DLSS do, and what's up with DLSS 5? 2 weeks ago:
It makes games run worse and look horrible because devs now target dlss performance mode for 60fps on medium hardware. The game is rendered at 720p and blurred to death until you can’t notice the half rendered frame and pixelated effects that depend on it (and TAA).
It’s also a marketing ploy to lie to consumers, saying their cards get 3x the performance of the previous Gen, by generating fake frames in between real ones. Displaying garbage but because the benchmark say 100+fps, it must be better right? Even though there are more presentation errors, latency is through the roof and the result is insane.
DLSS 5 continues the trend of lies by simply putting a yassification filter on top, lies to the dev, and lies to the consumers.

While actual death threats are abhorrent for a topic like this, I’m beginning to wonder if they are not overstating things. DF is not known for their intellectual integrity.

Afaik the files exfiltrated were photos that the on device detection could not identify and were uploaded to verify server side. That would mean not all pictures are sent to the backend, and that corroborates why “only” 70k photos were stolen when discord has millions of users verified.
Of course you have to put your trust in a closed source system so best not to upload, but if true it’s still a far cry from openly lying about it. It’s probably explicitly stated in their ToS that they may upload the file if the verification fails client side. - Comment on Fake moo 2 months ago:

So I guess it’s backend problems? Why rewire the game client if the server needs rework…

I’m not looking for puzzles when conversing with fellow humans.
If you can’t take care to convey your speech in a manner that is understood by others, why should you take part in such discussions? - Comment on apparently, the T button dosent exist for some people 4 months ago:
Doesn’t warrant such a thread, but in the end it shows how many people are inconvenienced by this. Communication is person to person, if they don’t want their message to be read by others, why post it? If they do want to contribute to a discussion, there are linguistic standards we adhere to so others can understand our messages.
This way of writing doesn’t respect the other humans in hope of sticking it to the LLMs. It’s not even a correct usage of thorn so it makes 0 sense to do it.
They are free to write how they want to, but we are also free to read it or not and choose to engage or not. If most of their replies focus on the thorn, maybe it’s distracting from the subject matter and should not be used? - Comment on apparently, the T button dosent exist for some people 4 months ago:
There is an effort needed to understand it. I can read fast but can’t read their post fast. They don’t respect others enough to be comfortably understandable. They don’t respect people with disabilities (of any kind). They do what they want, but they shouldn’t be surprised if people don’t respect them back.
Plus it’s fully performative and attention seeking. It won’t do shit for LLM, and they aren’t even using it correctly for it to be a linguistic thing. - Comment on Our first look at the Steam Machine, Valve’s ambitious new game console 4 months ago:
Well, their customers are PC gamers so it makes sense to target them. Not all gamers build their PC themselves (I’d say most don’t as I have built most of my friends pc). Having a plug and play solution, without risk of hardware/driver/software issues, can be attractive to some. The market for these is not hardcore gamers, but couch gaming.
But if the hardware is more expensive than a pre-built, no one will buy it. - Comment on Our first look at the Steam Machine, Valve’s ambitious new game console 4 months ago:
I would guess lower than 800 for the base model. The steam deck entry price is low and they probably will try to have it affordable. They know no PC gamer that can build their own PC won’t buy it if it’s not competitive.
Since they’re OEM integrating parts, I can guess around 550-650 for the base model but that will also depend on the US tariffs that week. - Comment on Our first look at the Steam Machine, Valve’s ambitious new game console 4 months ago:
