So is Australia, and these contracts will end them in court here real quick with potentially ACCC and ASIC
- Comment on Why doesn't Greens MP Max Chandler-Mather own a home yet? 3 weeks ago:
Rental vacancy rate has never been lower. Landlords have zero problems finding renters if the price is not stupid. Yet. Which it will become as investments dry up and continue forcing prices beyond the reach of some investors.

Sometimes not mutually exclusive. Its not fragment but it does happen. Iphone rocked the industry. Photoshop dare I say it, was the standard. At least at first.
- Comment on If Open Source is so great... 4 weeks ago:
365 is far worse IMO. New web only apps (replacing all the desktop apps) are a big step backwards. LibreOffice does everything needed natively and a lot more.

Dont edit in shitty formats, edit native, publish to pdf. Skip the pointless MS Office step.

You sure about that?
You have an entire generation coming of voting age who are rabid Trump supporters.
It goes on.
Anecodtally (at this point, this is all these discussions are), I think that Apathy, fear campaigns or outright money and campaigns ect become powerful levers where voting is non-mandatory.

Blaming young people is up their with blaming immigrants and “gays” ect for [insert topic]. I would be very surprised if this was the case.
I think it’s a little more nuanced.
- Comment on How do Americans win their country back? 1 month ago:
Non mandatory voting wouldnt help, being that its more susceptible to eroding a merit process from campaigns of fear or otherwise.

You want to know why? Start at the bottom and look at the price of land in the region. More than likely: its the cause. The answer then becomes very simple.

This type of policy has absolutely created the quiet quitters.
Not smart medium-long term strategy.

Big nutrient profile difference for what you’re proposing and frankly supporting a significantly worse industry considering just environmental damage

Tried implies something of value was attempted. Nothing of value was attempted. I’ll be sure to capture my next fart and call it cypher’s adorable affordable housing market solution. At least it wouldnt increaase the cost of housing.
- Comment on Controversial dynamic ticket pricing to be banned in Australia amid sweeping federal crackdown 2 months ago:
No they haven’t. They have done squat all 1. The policies did not address the causes of land supply prices (extortion that’s frankly the real problem) and rapidly increasing construction costs. 2. Nothing at all has changed. Point figers all they want the end result is still the same.

- Comment on ‘Hold them captive’: Australian billionaire boss aims to end staff going out for coffee 3 months ago:
Its great to see TBH. His employees will read this when they google and share it around the office if they are not already talkinf about it. They will be demoralised by it, productivity will drop. The high valued talent will move in a heartbeat and he will be left with those that cant get a better deal elsewhere.
But all that wont matter.
Thats a problem for the next CEO.
Notice the problem here? Accountability!
