Ya know, as much as I hate Alabama politically. I’m 20 mins from my house. It’s 48 degrees outside and this is my view. Image
No one around as far as the eye can see. I’m not catching anything, but also it’s just me. I hope you have a great week.
Rock and Stone Brotha!

It is probably the most new player friendly game I’ve ever played. I’m almost lvl 700. I have all the things. I accept new players and old players just the same, and I’m the norm not the exception.
Catch it on sale and give it a try. You won’t be sorry.

I didn’t know that about the sequel. That’s pretty cool. I did know about the difference between the book and the movie. I read a similar discussion a few days ago. But your information is new to me.
As someone that contracted Hep C Genotype 2 from IV drug use, and has now been “cured” (meaning I have an undetectable viral load 10+ years later) though technically you are never cured from a virus. I did a brutal regimen of peg interferon and ribavirin for 6 months. The side effects are fucking horrible.
Because of this I have read about Hep C pretty exhaustively. Someone said that Jenny could have caught it from being sexually abused as a child from her father. While plausible, it is an incredibly remote chance. Hep C isn’t in body fluids like HIV. Hep C has to be blood to blood. The chances of transmission with surface blood to surface blood is incredibly remote not impossible, but not probable.
For these reasons and more it bothers me that Hep C is used as her killer in the book. It’s such an unlikely killer, and the main way you get it is through unsavory activities. It seems like the author chose Hep C just as a punishment for her horrible life choices. Almost like Jenny is a yin to Forrest’s yang.
Anyway, I could keep going on about this for more paragraphs, but you may know all this already, and even if you don’t you probably have better things to do with your time.

I know it was Hep C, but Hep C usually takes a LOOOOONNGG time to kill ya. Like, at least 20 years. Even then you die of cancer or cirrhosis of the liver. As far back as the 80’s they had interferon which isn’t perfect, but between all the factors she still would have been fairly unlucky to die from Hep C.

Same here. I played the season to unlock everything, but it wasn’t my favorite season. I wish they’d do more bug stuff like bug bosses or something.
But, also I have everything unlocked and I’m 3 ruby? stars on all my chars. I still jump in for fun occasionally, and when a new season rolls out. I did a deep dive last night and an epic deep dive. We didn’t make it through the epic deep dive heh.

I have always liked sturdy women. You know a good hearty woman. I’m not a small person. I like a thicc woman.
With that being said. I was friends with benefits with a chick in high school. One night we were riding around and she offhandedly says that she needs to lose weight. I, jokingly said “Well, you could always smoke crack”. The laugh and then silence that followed would be very telling.
That night was the last I heard from her for about a year. I would call her occasionally and her mom would say she’s not here, or she’s gone with her cousin. Finally I give up and before I know it a year has gone by.
One day my phone rings and I answer it. It’s home girl. I ask how she’s been and where she’s been. She says she’s been ok, and in rehab. Apparently her and her cousin had been smoking crack. She asked if I knew where to get her some crack. I never liked uppers. So, naturally I had no clue where to get her some crack.
She never said it was my joke suggestion that inspired her. But it’s too much of a coincidence. I’ve always carried a little guilt for that.

I mean I think that the reasons are just as varied as people themselves. I think a lot of times it’s tradition in the sense that their parents believed it, there parent’s parents believed in it. So, it’s easy to just do what everyone else does.
Then you have, especially in Islamic countries a situation where their religion is everything. From the government, to the judicial system, to the education system, and of course the religion. It’s a way to control to masses. I think it was Hitler that said “He alone that owns the youth gains the future”. Indoctrinate your people early and reinforce it every step of the way.
Then you also have a situation where Muslims pray multiple times a day. Once again this just reinforces the indoctrination, but it also serves as a constant reminder that if you “sin” bad things will happen.
All of these things and more help to cement a tight grip on a population. There is a YouTube channel hosted by an ex-Muslim that I find interesting. The dude is way smarter than I. The channel is called “Apostate Aladdin”. He does a great job of explaining things in easy to digest ways.

- Comment on What do overnight shift workers do when the clocks change? 1 year ago:
So, I’ve worked nights and I’m not sure. I know that when I worked nights I didn’t know that the clocks changed. I just clocked in when it was my normal time and clocked out when it was my normal time. So, my guess is extra hour and less one hour. But honestly it probably varies.

Hell yeah! Had myself a Kevlar commode built special just so the missus and I could use a Glock as a poop knife. Things get wild a day or so after fondue night.
