Counter Strike was way better when this was the vibe. I am so tired of competitive this and gun case that. I’ve never been interested in 5v5 scrimming in any serious way, but that’s all CS2 wants me to do.
I want gun game, I want wc3, I want ZM. I want quirky custom maps and quake sounds and !bet ct all. I want to fuck around with new friends on a server for an evening, not to sweat my balls off throwing practiced smokes on dust2.

Big agree. Figuring out over building with the interface was so frustrating! Seeing city connectivity too.

Yeah, I am enjoying the age mechanic as a new approach to the formula. It’s not without its flaws, but in previous Civs after a certain point I just stopped playing/didn’t finish games when the outcome was clear. I’m doing that less now.

I’m with you. I’m enjoying the current season, after feeling that parts of the early seasons were a little rough. I think the vision is starting to become clearer, and some of the characters are starting to feel how they’re supposed to.

Honestly, I wish I shared your optimism. But I know that I, at least, will be waiting to see what’s next from Kurvitz.

Yeah! That would be great. I’m sure I’d want to make/share Best Ofs for longer shows, too.

A feature I’ve seen oft-discussed but never implemented is the ability to create your own personal channels or playlists on a streaming service. For Paramount specifically, I’d create a “Star Trek” playlist that would play an episode from a random Trek show, and at the end of each episode it could ask me whether I want to keep going with that show or “shuffle” to a new one on the channel.
For Netflix or other services with extensive catalogues of comedy (or other single genres, like police procedurals), I could see people using a similar feature.
The idea would be to find a middle ground between the choice paralysis of selecting a movie or show to stream, and the lack of control that came from traditional television.
- Comment on Is Civilization 7 not fun? 1 month ago:
Yep. For what it’s worth. I played about six hours today and had an absolute blast. Definitely some UI weaknesses, but I’ve been focusing more on the big changes to the gameplay loop, and I like them so far.
But I’m just some random online.

I’ve also worked in state government. I am both surprised and not surprised to hear this.

You’re not alone. I hate musicals. Love that they can have fun like this in Trek, but please never again please because I’ll have to watch that one too.

Yep, I bought a Brother laser printer for $120 a few years ago. I don’t use it super often, but it’s been reliable and easy to use whenever I need it. I’ve never had to replace the toner. It just works.
