Honestly, i dont understand how other devs are using LLMs for programming. The fucking thing just gaslights you into random made up shit.
I tried as a test to give it a madeup problem. I mean, it could be a real problem. But i made it up to try. And it went "ah yes. This is actually a classic problem in (library name) version 4. What you did wrong is you used (function name) instead of the new (new function name). Here is the fixed code: "
And all of it was just made up. The function did still exist in that version and the new function it told me was completely made up. It has zero idea of what the fuck its doing. And if you tell it its wrong, it goes “oh my bad, you’re right hahaha. Function (old function name) still exists in version 4. Here is the fixed code:”
And again it made shit up. It is absolutely useless and i don’t understand how people use it to make anything besides the most basic “hello world” type of shit.
Often it also just gives you the same code over and over. Acting like it changed it and fixed it. But its the exact same as the response before it.
I do admit LLMs can be nice to brainstorm ideas with. But write code? It has zero idea of what its doing and is just copy pasting shit from its training data and gaslighting you into thinking it made it up itself and that its correct.

Apps by corporations are stuffed with ads, telemetry and other crap. It uses frameworks on top of other frameworks and import libraries for the dumbest shit. For example the reddit app is about 120mb while my lemmy voyager app is 8mb…
The twitch.tv app is 150mb while an open source twitch app is 25mb. It has even more functionality and options and runs like butter.
Most of the shit phones have to run and process is in the background to track and sell.
Its really bad and why i encourage people to use open source versions of stuff they use.

If anyone has a solution for the vram going out of control, i would be so happy 😔. I only have 8gb of vram and it keeps going slightly above it and shoves stuff in normal ram. Causing the game to stutter its way into 25fps. If i then go into a building or fast travel, i get a fatal error and it crashes.
I have tried limiting the pooling vram in the engine.ini but that doesn’t actually work.

That is not what Sweetbaby Inc. does… You should get your women hating dumb ass back to the sewer communities on reddit. Where you can collectively rage at the imaginary boogyman that is coming for your games.

They are not doing anything wrong, dipshit. What is the horrific thing they are doing? Protecting trans colleagues? Protecting people of color they work with? Just because your fuhrer wants a white straight male environment, does not mean everyone else does. Go outside for once in your life. Maybe you will gain some empathy for your fellow humans.

But valve is not powerless. They provide the API to easily trade outside of the steam marketplace. And saying Valve is morally earning money while the competition does not, its not a fair thing to say. Valve started the whole slotmachine lootbox bullshit in the first place. They know very well what they’re doing. Valve could give gamblers 2 weeks to take their skins off the sites and then block API access to these casinos or just shut down the API completely. Saying victims will be hurt so lets have casinos continue to create victims, is a strange argument to make.

Yes, Epic launcher is shit. But steams features aren’t all it is praised to be either. I like some of it like the recording feature and steam link. But ANYTHING on steam involving community is absolute garbage. Guides are just meme bullshit. Discussion forums for games are filled with hate speech, points farming and incels. Screenshots is a ton of sexual stuff. Their customer service is horrific. Moderation is almost non existent. CS2 is a gambling similator filled with underaged addicts and Valve profits a ton from them.
I own a steam deck and use it everyday. But only for games because any Steam aspect involving the platform is absolute shit.
So besides games being discounted a ton, Steam is pretty shit and Valve doesn’t give a shit because they rake in money while sitting on their asses.

I honestly feel like this with Genshin Impact. It looks absolutely breathtaking and in 20 years it will still be beautiful. It runs on a damn potato. I personally like the lighting in a lot of scenes way better than the lighting in some titles that have path tracing.
I have always liked art styles in games better than realism.
- Comment on Wizard of Legend - Free 5 months ago:
I don’t understand this way of thinking tbh. Its free. Who cares. I never buy anything on epic. I just claim and play free games they give away. I don’t fanboy any corporation.

Absolutely love this game. Its a real gem for people that like puzzles and detective stuff. BUT i have had multiple times where a case was unsolvable because of a bug. Which is incredibly frustrating because you never know if its bugged or you’re just overlooking something.
