- Comment on Can you eat soap for acid reflux? 1 week ago:
My doctor got me off omeprazole because there’s a link between long term use (10 years+) and kidney failure. So I do prescription strength famotidine twice a day and just take tums as needed, then in the summer when I’m drinking a lot, I switch to omeprazole for a few months. It’s working pretty good so far, but I go through tums like crazy.

I always skip over those vendors seeing shows. I’ll have to grab one next tome! Thanks!
- Comment on No beans, only dogs 2 weeks ago:
Where do you get yours? All the street vendors in Capitol Hill I see don’t have jalapeños.
- Comment on No beans, only dogs 2 weeks ago:
The Seattle dog doesn’t have jalapeños, cabbage, or siracha, and instead has grilled onions. It’s delicious.
- Comment on [Discussion] Should Twitter links be banned from lemmy.world? 4 weeks ago:
No. As much as I disagree with giving them traffic, they do allow for context if someone wants to divulge. Can we ban them from the main post link and have them in the description of the post?
- Comment on Rainbolt never misses 1 month ago:
Most US states are the size of EU countries. We don’t know the “states” of EU countries because those are like counties in our states, and most people barely know all of their own state’s counties because there are too many.

You reminded me to check out the portal again when I signed up months ago! I’ll be testing the beta a lot in the next week since I now have to go into the office 5 days a week. Can’t wait to give the next beta a full try!

I was being disruptive in first grade and kicked out of class then we learned this (ADHD and boredom). I tried to peak through the window and do the crocodile arms to learn it, but my teacher saw me and came out and told me to stand at the end of the hall. I didn’t really learn this until 3rd grade. Ironically, math was my favorite subject for all of k-12.

Are you talking about puking or just how they hold themselves? Because if it’s the later, have you ever been to a zoo? They clearly walk around with their necks held at like a 60-45 degree angle up from their spine. We can look up pictures of this in modern day too.

Lunar eclipses are visible everywhere you can see the moon (roughly half of the earth)
Solar eclipses are only visible in the shadow of the moon, which is very tiny comparatively.

I dunno. I like drinking Coke Zero cocktails when I’m trying to lose weight. It works. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- Comment on Thanks, Logan. 4 months ago:
It only has 20 calories. I’m all for hating on Prime, but it’s not heavy in sugar at all. Definitely fake sugars. And heavy on caffeine.
- Comment on I've always wanted to see Seattle. 4 months ago:
I don’t love the rain, but I love that it doesn’t get super cold or super hot. We have been loving it up here for the last 2.5 years. We are enjoying Ballard with the breweries next to us.
- Comment on Every show with a suicide now has a disclaimer with a suicide hotline at the beginning. Is there any evidence that these warnings make a positive difference? 5 months ago:
That really sucks. I hope you’re doing better now.

If you are the only one playing the PlayStation, you can do remote play via the computer, phone ,or even from a PS4.

This is really cool! I just applied. I live in a moderate sized city, so I do walk a bit. I hope to help you out on the iOS side of things since lemmy is very android heavy.
I really think this will motivate me to walk more, as I really only walk to work and the store when necessary.
Right before I left my last job, we were looking at using Flutter to dual deploy our app so I’m excited to see it in use by an indie dev!

I was about to say the same thing! My friend has been through two different ketamine treatments and one is even by mail!
- Comment on Inflation? 5 months ago:
The market is anything but free when the price to entry is so high and the big wigs get bailed out constantly. Yes, I agree that farmers should be subsidized, but if we do that, we do not have a “free market” and we shouldn’t.

I love the “afterglow” of psychedelics. It’s one of the main reason I take them. They have changed so many lives and I can’t wait to see how widely accepted they are in the future.

But really! In Japan, most people do 3 stars for great service. Most good businesses have 2.5-3.5 stars.

Yea, I’m not a member, but I saw a queer artist in Seattle handing out these zines and skimmed it. Super bummed about it because TST seems so good work otherwise.
- Comment on The worst pick-up line I've ever gotten 7 months ago:
Hell yea! Us furries are fun.
I saw you said you’re satanic? Judging by being on Lemmy, do you mean TST? If so, you should check this out: queersatanic.com
TLDR: TST is run by two guys who are suing 4 former members for criticism on Facebook. They’re also suing news sites for even reporting on this. The leaders of TST are big babies that keep refiling the lawsuit to drain the defendants of money.
- Comment on Anon has a realization 9 months ago:
Exactly. There are people who save so much to retire early, but I’m in my late 20’s and just living life instead of waiting. Sure, I’m putting away some money into my Roth and 401k to retire on time and live a comfy life after that, but I’m definitely traveling, going to events, spending more to live in a city, etc.

- Comment on Lyft and Uber say they will leave Minneapolis after city council forces them to pay drivers more 11 months ago:
Like, in Seattle, I’m taking Lyfts and Ubers for ~$35 for a 20 minute drive. They could pay their driver $16 to cover the minimum wage for the full hour and then they still have OVER 50% of what I pay. Like, it’s such simple business economics. Why can’t these big corporations figure it out? I hope they get taken over by local services that actually pay their workers.
- Comment on Veteran Videogame Analyst: Subscription growth has flattened [in video games] 1 year ago:
For single player games, or multiplayer games where there’s not a bigger progression system, yes, I 100% agree.
But sometimes this is necessary, like with an MMO. You’re paying for access to unlimited server time for that period (typically month or year).
