- Comment on PS5’s Wolverine game finally just made an appearance after several years of silence, and it’s not dead after all 3 days ago:
Widely anticipated AAA game from studio with three back to back to back successes within the same brand…no one thought it was dead. We saw the leaks.
- Comment on 'No gay, no pay': The RuneScape community is absolutely mauling Jagex's new CEO over his decision to cancel new Pride Month events 3 days ago:
Its a tradeoff, we know they only do things for the bottom line but having pridr celebrations did reinforce exactly what the pride movement wanted to push. My work isnt that bad tbh they have a committee that runs talks and discussions on equity and exclusion and the likes. The committee likely doesnt cost much, but they get to champion it and the people in that community feel welcomed and it does help breakdown barriers.

- Comment on Nintendo Switch 2 Hacked in 48 Hours — But Here’s Why It’s Just the Beginning 6 days ago:
From very cursory glances, it seems there isnt much preventing dumping switch 2 games and it is a short timeframe to figuring out.

Cant wait for Mario Kart world rom, only way I’ll play it
- Comment on Switch 2 Breaks Records By Selling Over 3.5 Million Units In Four Days 6 days ago:
Its probably the case that these are separate groups.
These prices are not pulled out of asses, they calculate the maximum they can charge while keeping or increasing their market share/profitbaility. It sucks the games are going up but people are entitled to begrudgingly take part because they enjoy the product.
- Comment on I hate Samsung and their dumb software design choices, and this is one of them. Why do I need a SIM card to enable a hotspot whereas every other phone works without one? 1 week ago:
How would a hot spot work without a sim? Isnt it using the sim 5g to rebroadcast locally?
- Comment on What's going on with Borderlands 2? Steam is giving it for free, but the game has 23% positive recent reviews. 1 week ago:
New to linux…are flatpaks like sandboxed?
- Comment on 007 First Light - Announcement Trailer | PS5 Games 1 week ago:
Aye splinter cell is out of the market nowadays, and the success of Hitman is what got the 007 brand to get IOI to do this.
I would probbaly enjoy cyberpunk but I dont really like fps.
- Comment on 007 First Light - Announcement Trailer | PS5 Games 1 week ago:
…because the people who make bond want one and it has a lot of name recognition. Are there many spy games doing well on a mass market level?
- Comment on UK to build 12 nuclear submarines in preparation for potential war with Russia 2 weeks ago:
Absolutely, I have never liked the US presence in Europe but it did fill a need that Europe wasn’t. Unfortuneately for the US though it filled a need for them too and becoming less focused, more aggressive and divisive will create space for closer ties between the EU and most likely China, but definitely other economic trading blocks.
- Comment on UK to build 12 nuclear submarines in preparation for potential war with Russia 2 weeks ago:
Agreed, even though it goes against his own plans for China. The US will become less relevant, and one would hope the reaction to the markets would be to end the loyalism.
- Comment on UK to build 12 nuclear submarines in preparation for potential war with Russia 2 weeks ago:
The negotiations outlook is because the US capitulated to Russia, not because it is based in reality. They have already emptied villages, hospitals, schools and prisons to feed the frontline and have gained about 20% of a neighbouring landmass with wherein they had strong network of subterfuge for years previous. They do not have the capability to wage a war with the UK right now, unfortunately the UK dont have the capabikity to defend very well either.
Ukraine was handicapped by poor allies and is now handicapped by a handicap in the US. They are struggling no doubt, war isnt nice but so too are Russia. I personally think if the US election had gone in a different direction, to someone with a spine, the war would be ending and Russia in collapse.

He’ll come anyway, best not be roll overs when that day comes.
- Comment on James Bond Game From Hitman Dev Has a New Title, 007 First Light, Official Reveal This Week 2 weeks ago:
Expand out the detective element, eavesdropping, tailing, building evidence. There are seeds to some of this in Hitmam but it would make sense in 007.
- Comment on James Bond Game From Hitman Dev Has a New Title, 007 First Light, Official Reveal This Week 2 weeks ago:
Gadgets man, I am picturing zipwire scene, paragliding, hopefully non quick time event action. The gadgets in Hitman were great for their role but there is a fantastical element to be pushed for 007
- Comment on James Bond Game From Hitman Dev Has a New Title, 007 First Light, Official Reveal This Week 2 weeks ago:
100% I will pirate this game if it has any of that always connected shit.
Its a full price purchase otherwise, the three hitman games I was happy to support given their studio position at the time but they are not getting any leeway this time.

They should do a better job of pointing it out at the least
- Comment on Every news result on duckduckgo links to MSN 2 weeks ago:
Search something on duckduckgo and then refresh, it will list a different order of results. Very annoying if you check multiple links to not know which ones were in what order.
- Comment on Antony Starr had to knock down 'The Boys' fans glorifying Homelander: 'This guy is not the hero' 2 weeks ago:
They are very different, one is completely self serving and the other is self sacrificing. They both kill, one indescriminately and the other very descriminately. Punisher also doesnt seem to enjoy it, but feels it is what needs to be done.

And on Military and is getting dog walked by a failed state on a global stage. Number one military spend by every metric and they managed to lose the cold war 30 years after it “ended”.

- Comment on Sony blocks Stellar Blade on more than 100 countries 4 weeks ago:
It is a little bit different though, if it was illegal tomorrow it would be fixed in the EU alone. The charging ports is am efficiency in production decision. Companies can and do give different products to different regions, coke is different, chocolate is different, software has different festures and terms.

Yes, its a mature market. We are likely at a point where a new competitor or innovation focused incumbent takes a swing at a new tech.
