Not a bad set of promising suggestions… Thanks!
And yeah, I’ve found Proton to be invaluable for making things soooo much easier, but if a game doesn’t have a page, it’s not as easy. Lol.

I’ve been using Linux Mint for the last 1–2 months (or so) and one of the things I miss the most is how on Windows, games just run (typically). Now, on Linux, one of the very first things I do upon wanting to play a new game is check the ProtonDb page. I am not always able to play the game I want. There’s often not even any ProtonDb page for a lot of older games, notably in my case Jazz Jackrabbit. (For example, even though the Jazz Jackrabbit Collection on GOG has a Linux installer, for some reason it won’t run.)
Make no mistake, I ain’t never going back to Windows for my personal use if I have anything to say about it. The sense of personal security I feel from not having my every move be captured, scrutinized, and sold by Microsoft is way too important to me. If I can have that feeling of relative comfort by forgoing a few games, it seems like a worthwhile price to me.
Nevertheless, the “plug-and-play” nature of games designed for Windows is something I miss.

Not OP, but dear gods thank you. With how scary the US is becoming, I genuinely needed that laugh.

That actually depends entirely on where you’re at. That would be positively tropical to someone in Minnesota, but to someone in Arizona I almost can guarantee you that would be freezing.

Good idea, though sadly I cannot afford that at the moment.
- Comment on how badly could a pelican fuck me up in a fight? 2 months ago:
Nah, I think this way more.
`I’m not planning on fighting a pelican" comes off as “well, I’m not planning on it, but it could happen”,
while
I’m not planning on fighting a pelican
comes off as “Statement: I do not have plans to fight a pelican.”I feel the latter would confuse people more. Lol.

DISCLAIMER - I am not planning on fighting a pelican.
I need this on a T-shirt.
Seriously, this is the best thing I have seen on the Internet in a long time. It’s like I’m in 2013 all over again. Lol.
- Comment on Why don’t more people start profit-sharing companies or co-ops? 2 months ago:
As others have already stated, it’s expensive to start, expensive to maintain, and very high-risk.
Most startups fail within the first two years, and an organization that doesn’t focus first and foremost on profit is I imagine even more likely to fail within those first couple of years.

To be fair, every platform is an echo chamber. The only differences are to what degree.
- Comment on is "oh boy" considered a gendered term? 3 months ago:
I personally don’t like it as it makes me uncomfortable because I’m not a guy, and it makes me feel a bit excluded.
That being said, I’m fully aware it’s rarely used in a gendered way so I’m not offended by it or anything. It’s just how I feel. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That’s fair. I’m not personally knowledgeable about said rules; I just thought I’d point out those couple things.

Agreed. I would say they need to go fuck themselves with a cactus, but really now. What did the cactus ever do to deserve that?

19 states have some form of “right to dry” legislation, most of which would protect drying on patio space.
Two points which I would like to interject here:
-
OP (of either the post or comment above) may not be in the United States, and
-
Even if they are, there are 50 states and 1 capital district. That’s only roughly a third of the United States. Odds are they are not in those states.

- Comment on Why do people see Adopting a Husky Personality and Culture through life inherently bad 4 months ago:
Well for one, that a “brony” is just someone who enjoys the show “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic”. Nothing more, nothing less. We are not, essentially, perverted. I mean, sure, some people are, but how’s that any different than any other human subgroup?
On top of that, if you’ve never seen the show, even just 3 episodes, I would highly recommend it. Because even if you don’t like it, it would give you some idea of that which you’re criticizing. You’ll see it’s not creepy or anything. It’s just a kids cartoon that happens to be very good and appeals to adults as well as kids.
Don’t take at face value the concept of a brony based purely on stereotypes you see about them in the media or Internet. Yes, there are perverted weirdos, but the vast majority of us are just people who really enjoy the show and what it stands for.
Those are just a few things, to be sure.

Haha, whatever bro. Maybe understand a thing before you criticize it. Hopefully you’ll learn that someday.

Speaking as a brony, yes, we are terrifyingly bizarre.
Ain’t it great? xP

It doesn’t have one. I was making a joke.
Hi = High Fanta = Fantasy Po = Post(-apocalypse) Dys = Dystopian Fut = Future
Hifantapodysfut = High-Fantasy-Post-Apocalypse-Dystopian-Future.
It’s in the title.
