- Comment on I just watched the wrong version of Drive (2011), and didn't realize until the last 10 minutes. Any similar stories? 4 weeks ago:
There’s also the Nicolas Cage classic The Wicker Man. A version exists without his “Not the bees!” scene and let me tell you, that’s a disappointment.
- Comment on how did you master splits (for flexibility)? 5 weeks ago:
Use ropes to pull your legs apart while you lay on your back on a table. Also work on the splits with each foot on a separate chair.

I’m not saying they would or they wouldn’t, but if they would, and I’m not saying they would, they would distribute the keys to the Blu-ray players online so other people could use their rightfully purchased discs in any way they pleased on their own hardware.
- Comment on 'My personal failure was being stumped': Gabe Newell says finishing Half-Life 2: Episode 3 just to conclude the story would've been 'copping out of [Valve's] obligation to gamers' 5 weeks ago:
There’s two or three good ones in the series. Thankfully the rest aren’t as bad as Far Cry which is just about the shittiest franchise I’ve ever had the displeasure of playing.
- Comment on [Même] Which movie was this for you? 1 month ago:
That movie has no originality. I just wanted something new and all we got was a rehash of the original alien movie, but with attractive kids.
- Comment on US Democracy 1 month ago:
Not to mention that the civil war was lost through the presidential election of 1876 even though it was won in battle before that. That election was so corrupt that the Union conceded a lot to get their president including removing Federal forces from the South on the promise that the South would protect Federal rights of minorities, blacks, etc. (among other things) The North pulled out and the south reneged without consequence (the KKK was the strong arm then) until the Civil Rights act in the 60s. That’s only roughly 60 years ago. Most of the institutional segregation from before then is still firmly in place.

Heaven forbid we would have to compromise instead of ramming legislation only we like through to pass.

Go back and start watching some 60s-80s exploitation films. Bunch of them are actually very enjoyable with interesting ideas and plots.

Yes, and the church went nuts displaying the “Holy Relic” that was his supposed foreskin for many, many years, in many churches… At the same time. It got so out of control that people started to wonder why the church was so obsessed with Jesus’s dick. So the Pope finally got a clue, commanded a stop to the practice, and threatened to excommunicate anyone who spoke about it afterward. Ah, Christianity. Good times.

This game has such trash net code. It’s surprising they won’t fix it considering how much cash they’re milking from it. But I guess it’s cheaper to lose players than to make it better for everyone…

- Comment on This automatic faucet that need the hands to be between the wall and the water to turn on. 6 months ago:
Okay, you tell me how to wash my hands…
I wet my hands, get soap, scrub, and continue to scrub as I rinse. Not going to stand there for 2 minutes for all the soap to rinse off on its own. Your way is actually worse because you end up having to maneuver your hands a lot more to get all the soap off to the wrists. And good luck trying to wash your forearms.
- Comment on This automatic faucet that need the hands to be between the wall and the water to turn on. 6 months ago:
This and most washroom faucets have too little space for washing hands. The space from the spout to the back and bottom of the sink doesn’t allow for rinsing whilst scrubbing without touching the sink. Infuriating.

Trash.
- Comment on NVIDIA 555.42.02 Beta driver out bringing Wayland explicit sync 6 months ago:
Installing these drivers on Fedora 40 broke a lot of stuff for me. All flatpaks dump core (seems to be edl related). Wayland gets disabled and monitor refresh rates above 60 crash the display and force a logout. I managed to re-enable Wayland, but it doesn’t fix any of the other issues. Feeling a bit bummed :(

I admit I didn’t read the article extremely thoroughly, but what exactly is the “better way”? The author just talks about some new bans of foam and incremental changes. Where’s the better way?
