One problem I’ve been having with ebay lately is that I’ve ordered items and they’re coming drop shipped from Amazon or Walmart.
They’re always sellers with ratings in the upper 90s and with like 1000ish or less reviews. A lot of times they list is as only having 1 or 2 left in stock. I’ve been having some luck going into the reviews and seeing people say “came in an Amazon box” to avoid them.
It’s one thing to wholesale stuff and resell it, it’s another to just drop ship it from Amazon and Walmart. Been ordering on ebay for many years and I’ve never seen this before.

Good for you.
- Comment on We need a new Amazon 1 day ago:
I agree, but sometimes you just need some cheap shit. I’d rather pay 2$ for stickers for my kids than the same ones for 9$ on amazon.

I would never buy anything electronic from them for that reason.

I’ve been going to Walmart more because of all the Chinese sellers. I fine with it if it’s not on Temu for cheaper and if they disclose it’s going to take three weeks to ship. It pisses me off to no end when they indicate it’s going to take 3 or 4 days to get to me and then I check the tracking a couple days later to see a Chinese mail tracking number.
So try Walmart, if you want stateside stuff then use the retailer filter and select “Walmart.”
Another alternative, if it’s likely made in China or cheap, then check Temu. I’ve found things all over Etsy which is just crap bought from Temu and posted on there for double the price. And I mean they get the package, repackage it, and send it to you. No alterations or anything.
You can also look at ordering directly from manufacturers. Sometimes you’ll get deals.

This right here! If you are looking at something on amazon go to Ali or Temu.

- Comment on how do I avoid leggings creasing below the knees? 5 days ago:
I think that unless you get some with a strap that goes under your foot that’s attached to the bottom of the leggings or modify it to have some, that you will always have that crease because you’re moving around.
Here’s an example oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=544598002&v…

Absolutely, op should apply. Worst they’ll get is a “no.” Better than not eating.
- Comment on I am a very liberal person and I have very liberal children, except for one. I'm pretty sure my Gen Z son has been taken in by fascist doctrine. What can I get him for Christmas? 3 weeks ago:
Something that interests him other than fascism. Idk why that has anything to do with a gift. A gift is there to show appreciation and love, not to manipulate their pov.

- Comment on How would American culture change if the internet went down? 5 weeks ago:
I was thinking last night about how I used to go cash my paychecks and then drive over to the Verizon store and pay my phone bill. I wouldn’t be able to pay my bills on the website anymore. I’d have to call and give my checking info over the phone or get money orders to mail shit in. I can’t even order standard checks with the account I have now.

Taco bell has turned to ass. Even their bean burrito tasted off and most of the menu items I see are crazy shit that doesn’t resemble anything in terms of Mexican food.
- Comment on why do most celebrities/influencers & some normal people have those fake-looking teeth? 5 weeks ago:
You’re totally right. I imagine a lot of those ads are airbrushed to emphasize the teeth because that’s essentially the product they are selling. I imagine some people are like “well if it’s that white on that person, maybe it’ll actually work for me.”
Some people also have veneers put in because their smile is important to their job or because their teeth are stained from coffee or fluoride.
- Comment on I have a very strange question about washers, dryers and the Middle East. 1 month ago:
Could also be the flow of the house. Every house I’ve been in where the washer and dryer are side by side, the washer has been closer to the entrance of the wash room and the dryer is farther (and usually towards the back door). My thought process would be dump the clothes in the washer and then kick the basket in front of the dryer to pull them out later and get it more out of the walking path. (unless there’s room on top of the dryer)

Nails. Like the kind you hammer in. I hate them. They always come out and you have to hammer them in again eventually. Screws are the way to go.

I remember Comcast suddenly started enforcing a limit of about 1 TB some years ago when I had them. Realized it happened when I renewed my contract to get a lower price again for a promotional period. Apparently I agreed to a new contract or something that included the new limit. >:|

That’s what I was thinking too. If it’s expensive brand that might explain the high price.
- Comment on What's a good gift for a 2-year old? 2 months ago:
This little people house.
It’s kept my daughter interested and her several years brother loves to play with it too. It’s got a few cute songs that she dances too. There’s one about mixing milk and spaghetti and some nonsense. It was well worth the money. As a kid, I remember playing with the little people house up until like 10 or something so it doesn’t get old.
- Comment on How do I know if a medical issue should be addressed by a Clinic Visit, Urgent Care, or the Emergency Room? 2 months ago:
I’ve kinda learned over time what is appropriate for what through personal experience or by listening to others. I also ask myself questions like can it wait a couple of days? Being in America I also ask myself is it worth going to the ER for this? Someone mentioned too that a lot of insurance companies now have nurses you can call for this sort of help.
If you genuinely think it’s life threatening, go to the ER. If it’s something that isn’t life threatening but should be taken care of ASAP, then Urgent care is a good choice. Something like a broken bone, stitches. They have a lot of equipment. If they can’t treat you or discover it’s something worse they will send you to the ER.
I had an issue with heart palpitations a few year ago. I went to my primary care doctor and then went to a specialist. I think total it cost like 300$ or something. I was worried it was something worse yeah it turned out to be stress and anxiety. But the specialist did rule out any heart problems which included those scary ones where healthy people drop dead. That was worth the peace of mind. If I had gone to the urgent care they would have ruled out any immediate life threatening conditions and then have you follow up with your pcp or maybe get you to the specialist.
- Comment on Why do social workers get upset when you don't want their help? 2 months ago:
Idk how it’s relavant to them that you are basically a van dweller. As long as you are taking care of yourself (eating healthy, exercising, showing, and whatever else) then it doesn’t matter.
Maybe if there was some treatment that required you to have access to facilities you need in a house but I can’t think of anything. This is one of those times I would omit or just say you live in a house.
Just make sure you’re stashing away some cash in an account so you can replace your ride or put a down payment on a house if you decide you do want something a little less mobile some day.
- Comment on Why would someone desite a pension instead of a 401k? 2 months ago:
I remember there were some cases of pensions disappearing about 20 years ago so you’re not imagining it. I can’t find any stories on it but yeah there were people who went to retire their pensions were just gone.
I found this on investopia while I was looking:
“A number of situations could put your pension at risk, including underfunding, mismanagement, bankruptcy, and legal exemptions. Laws exist to protect you in such circumstances, but some laws provide better protection than others.”
So maybe they all sued the out of those companies and tapped into past insurance policies to get paid and that’s why it’s not really talked about.
Bottom line is that if someone else has your money, it’s in their control. If you have the money in your 401k, you can watch it and control it.

I remember working in fast food and almost nobody ever thought to clean the nozzles or clean out the ice bin.
There is probably a ton of mold inside where the ice is kept.
- Comment on how do I accept that a doctor earns more than double what I do? 3 months ago:
If it makes you feel any better he’ll be the one that gets slapped with malpractice if he fucks up. He’s inherently accepting a certain amount of liability as a doctor.
The other thing that comes to mind is he is trained specifically in his field to diagnose and treat. As a nurse you are trained to do what you do best.
That doesn’t give him a right to be on his phone all the time and be a dipshit. Eventually, that will have consequences of some sort. Currently he’s receiving less respect and earning a shitty reputation. That might come to bite him in the ass some day. Him being lax may come out in his work and bite him in the ass too at some point.
But I understand your frustration. I’ve got shitty managers who don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground and I constantly question how they got and are keeping their jobs.
