- Comment on Do you want the murderer of the UnitHealthcare CEO prosecuted? 2 weeks ago:
I am under the belief that there was no murder and he had a preexisting condition of lead poisoning. As such, we unfortunately do not cover these kinds of conditions in our penal system and his claim must be denied.

- Comment on I this a firm and polite way to tell an opinionated coworker to stop pushing his agenda I don't care about? 7 months ago:
It was a joke about the significant portion of lemmy users also being Linux users. Also that Linux users ( like myself) would be oblivious that somebody could dislike Linux or not be interested. So it is assumed that they must like Linux then and would care about things Linux users care about. With the magic of circular reasoning, you can then say that since they must obviously love Linux that they would then agree with the person and want to hear what they say.
It was a far stretch for a joke but I will stand by it.

They said issues that they don’t care about. If that were the case, they would logically only agree. So that can’t be it.

Yes, provided that you already have their number and don’t send anything too risky. Following someone around with your phone to show them memes might freak them out if you don’t know them.
“Hey Lady! Stop running, I just want to show you my memes!”
“Get away from me!”
That is not socially acceptable.

If you want someone to smile, you don’t tell them to smile, that will just piss them off. The real solution is to try to make them smile by cheering them up. Ideally with something funny or wholesome. Who knows? They might really appreciate it and be a bit more fond of you.

Wasn’t that alternative timeline thanos that said that though? He wouldn’t have met her yet so that version of him didn’t kill vision.

It sounds stupid, but kids are stupid. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a police car. Not a cop, the car. Sometimes dreams need to stay dreams.

- Comment on would would the average skin tone and facial features after 300 years? 1 year ago:
Fair enough, measured at 25 and with a healthy nutrition and they do see the sun regularly. That answers the skin tone, but what about facial features? When it is all said and done, what features might take over? Like eye, nose, and mouth shape.
- Comment on would would the average skin tone and facial features after 300 years? 1 year ago:
The only reason I refer to it that way is because it is easily understood and is how a lot of paperwork refers to it. In my opinion, it makes it sound like we we are a completely different alien species.

I was betting a lightish brown skin tone with Asian feature set. However, I believe you might be closer to what it might be.
