People vary in height throughout the day due to spine compression. You are at the tallest in the morning before your spine has had time to compress. Adults get shorter as they age largely due to the same phenomenon taking place over many years.

From what I understand, some servers prefer tips because they make more money that way, and since it’s cash they don’t report it to the IRS so it’s untaxed income. I don’t know how much of the server population prefers it this way.

Iron Pineapple on YouTube has a series called Steam Dumpster Diving where he reviews Souls-like games in the style that you mention.
It is unfortunately limited to Souls-like games even though he himself admits that his definition of Souls-like is very loose (if there is a parry system and a roll button, its a souls-like. Bonus points for having a bonfire mechanic). He also reviews new and old games, and I know you specifically mentioned new or upcoming games. He does skew towards newer releases however.
