They just aren’t making money from them like they used to. You can’t expect to port a game to PC 2 years after it releases, spend $0 on advertising and then say “mhmm, this pc thing isn’t working out, no one’s buying our games”. Check the Steam charts for their last few ports, they’re resembling a flat line. If they dropped the game on PC day 1 they would’ve made more money on PC sales, which is a terrible precedent for them, as it means that the age of the console has come to an end. Luckily, some of Sony’s biggest partners already realized that:

Minecraft released when Steam was not dominant yet. We still got physical releases when Minecraft first went on sale. Nowadays? Good luck

Most devs who shared their thoughts online say that not being able to sell on Steam means a death sentence for their game. There was a case recently about a game who Steam banned from selling and without the media coverage they would’ve never made it, because itch.io sales represent a very small portion.

You can donate to private trackers with it, they already figure out how to convert it to fiat and take care of hosting

Well, a Steam Machine might be perfect for your usecase then, it’s small so you can replace your console and enjoy it, as well as Steam Input.

How is this supposed to convince people to buy a console that’s already selling poorly?

Scene doesn’t use Usenet, they uses their own top sites, the reason files are small is because FTP has its limits, files can be corrupted if something breaks in the download so they keep it small. There are also couriers that get files from one top site to another using scripts and it benefits them as they don’t hog leech slots

It’s a UNIT3D tracker so you need to add the API key in prowlarr. The tracker is relatively recent, so you may need to update prowlarr first.

I care about the laptops. I care about them a lot. People return them in a shit state, I clean them up take care of them and then advocate to donate them to schools in the area.
HR are just that, hatchet men.

I’m happy it works for you but unless no tracking/privacy violations is included in their subscription model this will not work for a lot of people here.

Another victim of arrogance perhaps. Before the game even released fans told them that’s not what they want and they said “fuck you, you don’t understand shit” and proceeded to make one of the most uninteresting video games on the planet.
- Comment on PAYDAY 3 will use Denuvo anti-piracy technology in its PC version 2 years ago:
It’s a DRM scheme to protect against piracy. Over the years I saw more and more shitty titles use Denuvo on release because God forbid someone steal their cash grab. A lot of titles that are of quality usually do not see the need for Denuvo.
Therefore, nowadays, for me Denuvo serves as an indicator of a potentially shitty release. They slap Denuvo on top of it so that they can pump & dump.
Maybe I’ll buy the game when it’s on sale, but for now I am too skeptical, especially since slapping additional DRM on an already DRM’d game (it’s multiplayer only and always online, unlike previous parts that allowed offline play) does not make any sense to me.

I like to use Denuvo as an indicator of a bad release. For someone with over 2k hours on PAYDAY 2, I just cancelled my preorder.
Thank you for the fun times OVERKILL, sad to see you go this way.
