Eh…This is a little rose coloured glasses. Anyone else remember the pre-adblock era of umpteen pop-up ads?
- Comment on Can Trump pardon himself even though he did criminal stuff outside of office? 2 weeks ago:
You need to stop thinking laws are inviolable writ handed down from God. We’re all playing a game of shared make believe where the rules are only strong as the collective will to enforce them. That will doesn’t appear to be sufficient so he can likely do what he wants.

In that uncle’s own mind, I guess. This is the older uncle’s equivalent of a Minion meme.
- Comment on We met at a bar 1 month ago:
Have you considered that those people also aren’t actually offended by it, but just think it’s kind of lame? This is the kind of comic I would expect to be shared by an uncle on Facebook.
- Comment on We met at a bar 1 month ago:
What are you saying? You can think it’s not a very funny comic without being offended by it. “Man enjoys blowjob” is not exactly cutting edge humour.

“Oh damn, the point I was trying to make is very dumb. If I accuse people of not understanding it I can pretend to be very smart!”

Try understanding the point of my comment. The comic about as spicy as margarine.
- Comment on We met at a bar 1 month ago:
Spicy? This is the most boomer ass comic I’ve seen in a minute. She’s even smoking in a bar. It probably literally is a boomer-aged comic.

That’s the joke.
- Comment on Why do we say, "when I look in the mirror" instead of "when I look in a mirror?" 5 months ago:
I suspect it has to do with being a sort of household appliance. Similar to the fridge, the TV, the bathtub, etc. People think about it in that sense most frequently and it becomes the common parlance.

Those fried eggs were premade and were reheated from frozen. 100%.
- Comment on Dave Chappelle’s Obsession With Mocking Trans People Continues in New Netflix Special ‘The Dreamer’: ‘I Love Punching Down’ 10 months ago:
Dave Chappelle had the option to live a quiet, wealthy, incredibly comfortable life as essentially the lord of a small Ohio city. He would have been, at the very least, a name that comes up in greatest of all time comedian discussions. Instead he chose this. Dumbass.

Very MTX-heavy mobile game aesthetic.
- Comment on The UAW's contracts deliberately expire April 30, 2028, so that they can leverage a possible UAW strike with any other strikes occurring on International Workers Day. 1 year ago:
This is laying the groundwork for a general strike. A real one, not an internet meme.

If I’m going camping and want to keep things light I’ll buy instant coffee and transfer it into a freezer bag.

Not just heat but smoke, too. Half the summer has been spent under fair to heavy smoke cover where I’m at.
- Comment on 'Suits' Was Streamed For 3 Billion Minutes on Netflix and the Writers Were Collectively Paid $3,000 1 year ago:
You can’t take the company at the word on that. They’re in the middle of a labour action, of course they’re not going to go on about how much effect the strike is having on them, that’s counter to the goals of starving the other side out.
And anyways, this is saving money in the sense that burning down one’s house will save money on rent.
- Comment on What's the difference between communism and socialism? 1 year ago:
No, there have been many theorists after Marx who added their own thoughts. Marx came up with it though so his influence is great.
- Comment on What's the difference between communism and socialism? 1 year ago:
You are mistaken. Socialism is worker owned means of production. Communism is a theoretical stateless, classless, moneyless society that Marx theorized would eventually form from the conditions of socialism (AKA dictatorship of the proletariat).
