How did you know they were going to do that?
- Comment on People who don't wear earphones outside - why, and what do you do instead? 1 week ago:
The Stoics would say you actually shouldn’t seek constant mental stimulation, because letting your brain just “be”, and sitting with boredom, is actually incredibly beneficial for creativity and personal growth. I do have to ask though, as what you’re describing is so relatable and I used to be the same way as you until I taught myself to let my brain relax; is it possible you have ADHD?
- Comment on People who don't wear earphones outside - why, and what do you do instead? 1 week ago:
I like day dreaming, talking to people I bump into while I’m about, hearing the buzz of people in a pub garden, the music playing in people’s cars as they drive past. I like these things, it makes me feel connected to the place I live. It’s also good to just let your mind wander without constant stimulation.
- Comment on Also pretty poor, with shitty health care coverage...am I getting warm? 1 week ago:
Maybe not mental illness but this is definitely a stim for me.
- Comment on What's the best way to ease getting back in shape after years of little to no exercise? 3 weeks ago:
I would strongly recommend trying Couch to 5k. There are a bunch of free apps for it. It’s a program that can get basically anyone from doing zero exercise, to being able to run 5km. I literally never ran until my 30s and now I do 5km 3 times a week, and even did a 10km race.
It’s very gentle and achievable but all of a sudden you’ll realise you’ve finished the program and you’re a runner haha.

I’m assuming they’ll still get you to complete the hench questionnaire, just not charge you after?
- Comment on 'Buy one, get one free' deals for unhealthy food banned in supermarkets 1 month ago:
Well, they used to encourage loyalty because it was feasible to collects points and convert them into tangible things (e.g. My parents used to get trips to theme parks etc). Points are almost worthless now so there’s no incentive to stick with one shop. I end up going to 3 or 4 different shops to get what I need due to price.

There are about a million of these in the UK.
- Comment on How do you introduce the Fediverse to other people? 1 month ago:
I agree, no need to over-complicate anything. I think even describing the fediverse as being like email confuses people. I just say it’s like old reddit but nicer and no ads.
- Comment on arriving 2 months ago:
I guess because it’s only trapping existing heat, and I’m a cold-hearted lizard.
- Comment on arriving 2 months ago:
I am one of these people. I feel like I’m only truly warm for a few days out of the year (I live in the UK…). The heatwaves we had this year, whilst environmentally devastating/concerning, at least warmed my core for a good few weeks.
- Comment on arriving 2 months ago:
Excuse me but I can only put so many clothes on. and scientifically, one more jumper doesn’t equal one more warm.
- Comment on Give a lil, get a lil 2 months ago:
I think they just like being contrarian more than anything else.
- Comment on A conundrum 2 months ago:
Here in the UK rent is always much higher than mortgage payments. Where do you live?
- Comment on A conundrum 2 months ago:
This isn’t usually the case in the UK. Rent is generally much, much higher than mortgage payments.
- Comment on Parents in England skipping meals to afford school uniforms, survey finds 2 months ago:
I don’t know why you think that would be the case. Uniforms were way cheaper when I was a kid in the 90s but my parents still couldn’t buy me two sets of clothes. At least when I wore my own clothes I felt like me.
- Comment on It slaps tho 2 months ago:
Thank you for calling me classy.
- Comment on Parents in England skipping meals to afford school uniforms, survey finds 2 months ago:
Agreed. The argument that it’s an equaliser is delusional and clearly made by people who didn’t have to wear 20 year old hand me downs for their uniform.

Yeah and it has the best name, Scintillating Scotoma. The first time I experienced one it was terrifying.
- Comment on Worst part about living in Europe 2 months ago:
Ugh, same here in the UK. I live on a tiny road and have to watch my neighbour struggle to parallel park every day. Why does he do this to himself? He looks miserable.

I can guarantee if this is posted to reddit it will be reply after reply of people going “what you don’t understand is, £100,000 is the hardest wage to live on!”.
Ok then mate, swapsies. You can have my 28k and we’ll find out.

You said they are spreading misinformation - information that is wrong or incorrect. Did you not mean to say that?

Why do you care what they do with their time? What’s the real reason?

One person having an opinion isn’t propaganda. I have been ignoring your point because it’s daft hyperbole. Block the person who’s upsetting you and post about cars as much as you like. This clearly isn’t making you happy.

Anyone can post with an agenda, if they want to. We all have an agenda of some kind. Just like you do, against this one person with whom you’ve taken umbrage.

That’s cross-posting. They’re adding something to the community. What are you doing, exactly?

Spamming involves posting the same link or mesaage over and over again in multiple different places. Which funnily enough, is what you’ve been doing.
