  You are incorrect. Proton is a for profit company with non-profit as the majority shareholder. From the article

  As the largest voting shareholder of Proton, no change of control can occur without the consent of the foundation

  Proton seems to be more than happy to let people think they are now a non-profit though, which is what bothers me.

  At least in theory theres a California law that stops them. It’s not enforced but it exists.

  Not a physical limitations, but there is the real problem of operating system compatibility, they definitely should be able to make games more compatible though

  That does make since, but would the lower boiling temperature of water not cool you down at least for a while? It takes energy for water to convert from liquid to gas, and I imagine in space that energy would come from you.

  It just makes since. A fine is just a price, a percentage makes sure people feel it as much as a given law wants them to.

  I imagine the more logical argument would be “I threw the rock, but it wasn’t at the seal” rather than “it slipped out of my hand at a high velocity”
