- Comment on Palworld v1.0 - Official Release Changelog 11 hours ago:
Ah, my friends and I have just been treating almost all pals as communal, so we’ve been blending everything we can get our hands on and passing around spares to use as materials - that then means we also have more powerful pals for the expeditions and raid bosses on top of generally keeping our boxes relatively clear.
- Comment on Palworld v1.0 - Official Release Changelog 23 hours ago:
Do you not regularly chuck your spares in the
blendercondenser? I don’t think I’ve more than half filled my palbox. - Comment on Palworld v1.0 - Official Release Changelog 1 day ago:
I think the similarity is really with the Pokémon game we imagined would be available by now. I understand the most recent games have taken steps away from the classic formula, but we’ve been imagining stuff like flying around the map on your mons and open world battling for decades. Pocket pair just took that imaginary game and added guns.

Or a less sensible one…
- Comment on Asylum seekers to be billed £10k to cover own support once they start earning money 1 week ago:
It’s 100% about reinforcing the culture of fear and discouraging asylum - if they wanted to filter those in need they’d be spending the money to effectively administer asylum claims instead of leaving them in years of limbo.
- Comment on French retailer mocks €1039 Steam Machine with “Stim Machine” RX 9060 XT PC for €999 2 weeks ago:
Stop being a drama queen, I have worse hardware than a steam machine and can play most modern games at 60fps 1080p on medium settings, or high with fsr. The vast majority of people aren’t targeting 240fps 4k on Ultra.
- Comment on French retailer mocks €1039 Steam Machine with “Stim Machine” RX 9060 XT PC for €999 2 weeks ago:
The average user doesn’t want to install an OS though, that’s the whole point of selling it as a complete, pre built package.
Sure, this is a little more powerful than the steam machine, but it lacks all of the actual selling points of the steam machine. - Comment on French retailer mocks €1039 Steam Machine with “Stim Machine” RX 9060 XT PC for €999 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, but this way you also have the inconvenience of having to build it and install the OS yourself.
- Comment on 2 weeks ago:
I had one to install windows 7 and play a few games at the time, but got rid of it last year to fit my PC into a smaller case because I hadn’t used it in about a decade.
- Comment on Solved or not, what games have great detailed mysteries/conspiracy theories that you can completely miss? 2 weeks ago:
Noita is full of these, being designed specifically to require community cooperation to solve, but the big unsolved one is the Eye Messages. They must be important, because they’re one of the only secrets that won’t appear at all with mods active, but nobody’s managed to decide them yet.
- Comment on Steam Machine pricing announced (from $1049-$1428 USD), reservation lists open 2 weeks ago:
I fear your understanding of context is matched by your understanding of economics if you think your first two claims are true. It’s a PC at a PC price, and your unfamiliarity with the market doesn’t change that.
Melodramatic means exactly what I think it means - I’m saying you’re being overemotional to make a drama out of a non-issue, as backed up by your projective accusations - I don’t want one, I’m not it’s target audience. You, on the other hand, are here raging that it… Costs a normal price for a computer of its specs. It’s obvious this isn’t a real issue, you’re just reactively hating on Valve.
- Comment on Steam Machine pricing announced (from $1049-$1428 USD), reservation lists open 2 weeks ago:
They’re not buying at the prices your local hardware store bought them at though, they’re buying at the future price of hardware when it actually gets built for them. It’s not price gouging.
I talked about SSD prices in an entirely separate sentence, it doesn’t make any contextual sense for you to lump it into the previous statement.
The literal next sentence he says is “but blender put it near the 5600x”. You’re comparing it’s worst performing tasks to general performance.
You are being melodramatic.
- Comment on Steam Machine pricing announced (from $1049-$1428 USD), reservation lists open 2 weeks ago:
That’s not price gouging, I didn’t ask if you’ve seen SSD prices, and no benchmark has it losing against a zen+ CPU that runs a GHz slower. You’re not even being contrarian now, just melodramatic.
- Comment on Steam Machine pricing announced (from $1049-$1428 USD), reservation lists open 2 weeks ago:
I don’t know if you’ve seen prices recently but it’s seems pretty on par for a zen 4 CPU, RDNA 3 GPU and 16gb DDR5. SSD prices seem high but apparently the supply’s about to get heavily throttled so it may be accounting for that.

- Comment on British Charlie Kirk wannabe beaten up debating people in Manchester 2 weeks ago:
Both wrong, unfortunately, you just don’t know how Lemmy works. The quoted section comes from the metro website, that’s why the section is outlined in green - if OP had added something, it would be outlined in grey.
- Comment on British Charlie Kirk wannabe beaten up debating people in Manchester 3 weeks ago:
Takes a special level of suicidal to go to a city with a location called The Curry Mile and say British subjects shouldn’t be welcome.
- Comment on British Charlie Kirk wannabe beaten up debating people in Manchester 3 weeks ago:
No they didn’t, that’s the byline from the source. OP hasn’t added anything to the body.

I ate so well for a few months as a student until the local Waitrose started chaining their bins shut. Quite a lot of people did in fact, which is presumably why they started chaining them shut.
- Comment on What is a game that you know is bad but really enjoy(ed)? 3 weeks ago:
Battleborn eventually shut down with a mixed rating on Steam, but I don’t accept that. Battleborn was a great game with terrible publicity and if randy had just said “FPS MOBA” instead of trying to compete with overwatch I could still be playing my beloved grenade-chicken.
- Comment on Ban on Palestine Action was lawful, court of appeal rules 3 weeks ago:
“It is not, as it claims, a direct action civil disobedience protest group like the suffragettes operating transparently in the open. It is a covert organisation that operates using secret cells to avoid the detection and prosecution of those using violence to destroy the property of third parties.
The suffragettes conducted a fucking bombing campaign, often directly against politicians - PA have been extremely restrained in comparison.

- Comment on What is a game you can’t understand why its so popular ? 1 month ago:
The only times I’ve had fun in pvp games/modes was when I was playing with a group of people I knew.
Thinking about it you’re sort of right, in that I enjoy playing stuff like Smash Bros and Mario Kart with my friends, but even then I have no interest in competing, I just find ways to annoy everyone else. I might win as a side effect of being annoying, but I’m just asking likely to be hoisted by my own petard, and I consider both good results.
- Comment on What is a game you can’t understand why its so popular ? 1 month ago:
Not really, I always preferred stuff that involved a group. The closest I get is board and card games, but they have an element of randomness that takes away the individual competition and makes it more of a social activity.
- Comment on What is a game you can’t understand why its so popular ? 1 month ago:
I have a strong preference for co-operative games, so I don’t really understand the attraction of non-team based PvP games like battle royales, extraction shooters, or just straight death matches like in quake or CoD. Like why would you want to be cold and alone with everyone out to get you when you could have friends.
- Comment on What is a game you can’t understand why its so popular ? 1 month ago:
I found the timing really difficult too, so I found a mod that slightly increases the dodge/parry window (something like 0.2s to 0.3s for parries) and suddenly I could reliable dodge and parry most attacks. Still requires precise timing, but now it’s a precise timing I can actually hit.

Well yeah, because there are claims that happened in the same way there are claims that aliens built the pyramids: it’s completely imagined and based on no actual evidence.

Avowed and Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon are the most Skyrim-like games I’ve seen recently, but I can’t speak for their quality. Dragon’s Dogma would be an ideal fit but it’s 3rd person.

Wow yeah making yourself look real smart here. Take your own advice.
- Comment on Hexbear is incapable of understanding hypocrisy 1 month ago:
Do you have a humiliation fetish or something?
- Fact 1: Hexbear was originally forked from Lemmy
- Fact 2: Dessalines and Nutomic later merged Hexbear’s changes back into lemmy.
- Fact 3: Shit.sorta.works runs on the current version of Lemmy, which contains Hexbear’s changes.
- Fact 4: You do not have to pay Hexbear to use Lemmy
This is about knowledge, not intellect, and you know nothing.
