- Comment on American wanting to move abroad, what's the best bet for an registered nurse? 6 months ago:
Socially it is moving pretty fast to the right in many places. They still have trains and healthcare. For now. Most US cities are as left leaning as Europe is.

Just made salad last night.
4 tomato 1 onion 1 bunch of cilantro 1 lime 6 Serrano 6 jalapeño 6 habanero Salt
That’s about 1 habanero per small bowl. Most people wouldn’t eat a full habanero, or even taste that salsa.
Never had an issue internally with spicy food.

SSRIs definitely work for some people. It’s just that everyone’s brain chemistry is extremely different and complex. Doesn’t make it less scientific. Making the best guess is math and science.

Pollution easily kills shellfish. If anything that’s an indication that they are clean and from clean places.

Oysters actually need clean/unpolluted water. What they eat and clean is sediment, phytonutrients, and phytoplankton. Well at least that’s what I was tood by an oyster farmer. They clear the water which is good for the grass, and the small fish, which is good for the big fish and so on.
- Comment on George Carlin's thoughts on class structure and the rich 10 months ago:
I did. Wasn’t very funny. Sounds way off. And it’s missing that gravitas and authenticity you get from a human. It’s hard to describe. I don’t like it in principal. And I don’t like the result.
- Comment on Why is this so hard 10 months ago:
It’s like complaining about a phone charger being left in the socket when the windows are open with the AC on.
Those produce bags weigh like 1/4 of a gram. Those produce reusable bags weigh like 30 grams. Most people lose or break, or toss the reusable produce bags before using them 120 times. It’s feel good bullshit for high consuming Whole Foods shoppers. And it’s a distraction.
To be clear, I’m all for reusable grocery bags, and generally against single use items. But the produce bags are so thin and light, they’re probably the least problematic.
- Comment on Anon plays GTA V 11 months ago:
The thing that makes gta and many sandbox games less enjoyable for me is that there is almost no unprompted interaction with the map. GTA makes you start a (side)mission or whatever for everything.
Zelda was the exact opposite and that’s why it was such an exceptional open world game. I wish rockstar would take note.
- Comment on Why didn't SBF flee? 11 months ago:
Where would he go? Even countries without extradition treaties can still extradite. There’s no hiding. His options were grim either way.

Hogs, dummy.

Wild pigs don’t exist though. They’re invasive feral pigs. And eating them is the right thing to do after killing them. And they need to be killed for ecological reasons.
- Comment on If cannabis gets rescheduled to III, how can it ever get the state - federal differences resolved when it comes to the recreational market? 11 months ago:
Rescheduling MJ federally would make zero difference. De-scheduling would be the only meaningful change.

I’ll take targeted strikes over the indiscriminate ones that level residential blocks I’ve seen lately.
- Comment on If cannabis gets rescheduled to III, how can it ever get the state - federal differences resolved when it comes to the recreational market? 1 year ago:
It won’t fix anything. Rescheduling has been a stupid focus the entire time.
- Comment on Maybe this isn't proper shopping but $18.50 for four veggie burgers, buns, and danish seems like a lot 1 year ago:
Less than 1% of the world are vegans though. So 99% of people paying that are using it. Quite rare for more things in governance.
We’re all paying for things others benefit from. And yeah, I’m 100% against subsidizing meat. But the reason your food is expensive is because the vegan demographic is considered to be easily over charged for “specialty” overly packaged marketing heavy food products.
Also: people buying organic meatless groceries at Whole Food won’t save the planet. Ever.
- Comment on Xbox consoles getting full-screen ad 1 year ago:
Microsoft makes shit practices standard. They duped their user base into paying for p2p online multiplayer. And that became standard. All the people who said they don’t mind paying for literally nothing made it happen for everyone else on each platform.

- Comment on Are smart door locks more or less secure than traditional door locks? 1 year ago:
Yeah I’m just saying in my case they have no way of seeing that it’s a smart lock at all. The only smart part is an attachment on the interior side. So mechanically it’s 100% the same, and there is no visible indication that is “hackable,” even if it were. My door and it’s lock look as just like it did 15 years ago.
- Comment on Are smart door locks more or less secure than traditional door locks? 1 year ago:
My smart lock doesn’t change the locking mechanisms. It’s basically a robot on the inside that turns the lock like you would. The only security issue would have to be software side, which a typical thief isn’t going to bother with especially since you cost tell from the outside that’s it’s not a normal lock - because it is.
August lock btw.

Hahahaha

So called “communists” are also contributing massively to the problem. Though one could argue they’re really just capitalist too.

- Comment on Switch 2 would arrive in the second half of 2024 and development kits are already out 1 year ago:
Switch emulators have weird stuttering, frame rate, and various issues. I should know I tried to emulate them. It was a mess. Also, a lot of people want a handheld with all the hassles of a PC. People like consoles because they’re simple. Hence why the switch has sold like 150 million, and the steam deck has sold like 1.5 million.
