PC hardware is prohibitively expensive right now; if you dont already have one built then youre looking at 2,000 USD at a minimum to play new games. Its a big ask for casuals who may see 900 for a ps5 as a bargain. Of course, its not actually a bargain when you think about modding and piracy and the lower game prices but humans are short sighted creatures.

Was Baker professionally. It is not really about precision especially if youre not hung up on consistency. And let me tell you, cooking also requires precision if you want consistency

Bruh, i just experienced this yesterday. I had my kid with me too, so I was on edge and distracted and couldnt find the goddamn cauliflower
- Comment on I used to be an uber eats driver and lowkey 2 weeks ago:
Yeah I will concede that handicapped individuals benefit the most from the availability of drivers, but like…the drivers need everyone else to be on board to make a living wage and that doesnt make any sense. Better public transit and assistance programs are a better investment than lining Ubers pockets
- Comment on Steam Machine costs more than I hoped but the price isn’t crazy 2 weeks ago:
Still more expensive and weaker than a ps5
- Comment on I used to be an uber eats driver and lowkey 2 weeks ago:
Gig delivery is a rotten model to its core. You are better off learning to cook, driving or walking to pick up your food, or calling the business directly if they have their own drivers. Its hard I know, but so is paying an extra tax on every item, plus service fees, just to have an app do it
- Comment on The hill I will die on: I really don’t like ‘like’ – or other imprecise and redundant speech 3 weeks ago:
I find it grating when people say like in every sentence. Especially podcasters, who are paid professionals and I expect them to speak with a little more purpose than the average person. And yet…
- Comment on "Nobody's making games for the retired people" – The growing yet underserved market for grey gamers 5 weeks ago:
Games are games, retirees play all kinds of shit including shooters. Its silly to assume they need to be marketed specifically to a certain group

In the future we will all be able to get free cheeseburgers from the Wendys AI vending machine just by asking nicely.
- Comment on Is there a good transportation game that actually simulates traffic as well as factorio does trains? 1 month ago:
I liked factory town; the trains need to stop and stations to unload and refuel, and they only go one direction. Its somewhat simplified but satisfying.

I get the impression the author is either being deliberately obtuse to prove their point, or has a difficult time engaging critically with media.
- Comment on The Case Against Gameplay Loops 2 months ago:
Celeste’s gameplay absolutely has narrative meaning as well. You are climbing the mountain of depression. Not the most subtle or complicated metaphor, but it’s there and it is effective.
- Comment on Google removes Doki Doki Literature Club! from the Play Store 2 months ago:
Awesome devs have the free version waiting for you, and other less puritanical storefronts to pay them some money if you liked it.
- Comment on Imagine Losing Your Job to the Mere Possibility of AI 3 months ago:
Can’t help but feel the doomsayers of AI are the least knowledgeable about its capabilities. No mention of model collapse, LLM memory ceilings, the massive infrastructure and resource cost of scaling AI… It’s not the future if it’s not sustainable. We just have to wait until the normies wake up from their dream.

It must be working, considering the results.
- Comment on Burger King will use AI to check if employees say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ 4 months ago:
Lol and do what with the info? Fast food service has insane turnover already due to employees making shit wages and being treated horribly by managers and customers alike. So you’ve already preselected for employees that dont give a FUCK about anything.
- Comment on Chocolate kept in anti-theft boxes as retailers warn it's being stolen to order 4 months ago:
Cost of living skyrocketing, housing crisis worsening, a fifth of the population in poverty… shop owners can cry all they want about crime in their area but wont lift a finger to help their communities or will actively vote to increase wealth gaps. Then they try to get the BBC to run interference with drek like this to… what? Shame poor people in to stealing less? Solid plan.
- Comment on Deathloop 4 months ago:
Deathloop was clearly rushed, but I still loved the gameplay and freedom to tackle things in many ways. It needed more time and money to meet the ambition of its design, and it was an early warning sign of the state of Arkane.

- Comment on Mewgenics: Some of the ‘celeb’ Meowing voice cast seems to be problematic at best 4 months ago:
I think the most egregious thing about this game is the price for me. 30 bucks for another roguelike? I’d rather buy Hades 2…

- Comment on What games similar to hardspace shipbreaker can you recommend? 5 months ago:
Kinda left field, but Teardown is an incredible game. You have leeway to destroy the environment however you want for as long as you want, but the second you touch one of the objectives a timer starts and you have to get the rest of the objectives and leave before time runs out. Essentially, you meticulously plan your route and make shortcuts for yourself using every tool at your disposal in a fully destructible voxel environment. Its so good
- Comment on Unity launches Walmart SDK to "seamlessly integrate products" into games 5 months ago:
The real question is: How is this ever going to make money for Walmart? The second a developer tries to put this in a game they’re gonna be laughed off the internet.

I’m broke so a new game to play would hit the spot, thank you so much! I like crafting games, cozy games, and arcadey retro style games, but really I play a bit of everything.
