I used to be a League of Legends only guy. I also played Fifa on the side. Basically: competitive online games only.
The problem is they have a heavily addictive gameplay loop, and it takes seconds to get into a game. Win a game? Dopamine is high and you wanna keep chasing it. Lose a game? Keep playing until you get that high.
I managed to get away from it, and at the moment I’m focusing on ‘hard’ single player games. Hades, Elden Ring, Megabonk (lol), that kind of thing and I am having an absolute blast. I’m realising that ‘hard’ gaming is my preference, whether online or offline.
I think it’s completely normal to have a preference when it comes to gaming. Playing a completely different genre is more of a risk, when you know you prefer e.g., rogue likes, why would you stray from them?

I feel I’m too old for this meme now. The Christmas period passed me by like a breeze, and then January vanished behind it.
In roughly two or so days I’ll be saying, “I can’t believe it’s 2027 already” whilst 2030 waits around the corner to whack me over the head with a baseball bat.

Unironically a sack of potatoes should be an S tier ranked grocery. They are extremely versatile, can be as healthy or as unhealthy as you want them to be, make some incredible delicious things, and are also one of the cheapest things by weight.

I think you are overthinking this mate.

2 shapes are the same colour
2 shapes are filled
2 shapes have four sides
the point of this is that there are multiple distinct properties not found in any member of the remainder set

There is context and nuance to everything. If you think this situation is ALWAYS creepy then I’m afraid you are objectively incorrect.
Children walk up to each other on a playground and butt in and make friends happily. Why do you want us all to be boring robots that never interface?

In what world is it creepy to overhear somebody saying something in a public place? Have you ever been in a social situation before?
- Comment on Anon asks out a girl 2 months ago:
Not really. If you were discussing with somebody about some terminal illness you were raising money for and somebody approached and said: “Sorry, but I overheard what you said and I’d love to donate, if that’s okay” that would not be creepy in the slightest.
There is a difference between ‘overhearing’ and ‘purposefully spying’

This is definitely one of those ‘creepy if ugly’ moments. If he was a handsome guy, it would be romantic and has almost definitely happened in a million Hallmark movies.

How is it even possible to afford $800 for insulin? It boggles the mind
- Comment on Anon sees through the lies 2 months ago:
“This is how conspiracy theorists actually think”
I’m not sure why this generalisation was required? Many ‘conspiracy theories’ have been proven to be true, and not ALL theorists believe ALL of the theories. It’s easy to discredit somebody when you label them something and then say that those that are labelled are idiots.

It makes more sense that a god is a creator and not a omniscient controller, if we could grow life in a petri dish and set the scientific boundaries for that life - we would also sit back and watch what happens, for good and for bad.
- Comment on Youtube can detect VPNs now... the fuck? 3 months ago:
Everything detects VPNs. Reddit has an error screen I’ve never seen before about network activity when I use a VPN and I’m not logged in. YouTube refuses to let me watch embedded videos when I’m on my VPN. Many pages simply refuse to load.
