- Comment on How do you fight doomerism/pessimism in these trying times? 2 weeks ago:
I like this a lot. I want to add, that finding a way to contribute helps a lot. Perfectionism can really get in the way. But in the same vein appreciating what we have. Damn water to drink and food on the table, for example, it also makes sense to value small ways in which anyone is helping.

Other way round. They sprayed as if there was no spray pattern, which is real life physics.
I probably entirely missed the point, but I stand by my statement 🙂

This is so bad. Lmao.
Sure, there is some truth thrown around here and there. Yes, positive affirmations are a thing. But so much rubbish as well.
The site looks so incredibly untrustworthy and unprofessional as well. I think you’re better served looking elsewhere for health advice.
- Comment on Does anyone else feel like "analog" stuff is more "tangible"? 3 weeks ago:
Digital just adds more layers of abstraction before it reaches you and your message goes out to wherever. And there’s more signal stuff around it.
I can see my notepad. I can move it around, I could put paint on my fingers and touch it to draw something.
On a computer, I hit keys and they send a signal through the machine with a bunch of stuff going on before it appears on the screen. The computer might have some issues and then, even if I hit the keys nothing happens or something unexpected. And when I break the screen it’s not on the screen anymore, but somehow still there and went god knows where on the way.
The notepad is a lot simpler.
- Comment on I don't understand how Trump gets away with all his senial BS. How come everyone is telling him to piss off or use the constitution to shut him the hell up? 3 weeks ago:
He’s a Russian asset and race horse for international tyrants, oligarch and so on.
You’ve heard of climate science being hijacked by Big Oil, etc.
If you have serious money and can’t find your soul, you invest it in judges, politicians, shadow networks, academics, journalists, influencers, papers, even artists to push all those institutions and their effect in your favor. Divide & Conquer, psychotic narratives. etc. to keep people from anything but joining together and doing what’s actually in their interest. Hijack existing conflicts, keep people afraid or blind by pleasure, with algorithms that your bought politicians and judges just let slip.
Things like that. Republicans are just the worse breed. And it’s all reaching a tipping point. I’ve heard an expert say that if 3.5% of the population non-violently protest this shit basically shuts down. Others say it’s gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better. I guess it’s in the stars.
Here are the main reasons (I think) people do their dirty work.

Thanks for the correction :) glad there are space nerds.
I’m guessing it’s an image of some other galaxy then right? So the arrow is pointing to some alien planet and is actually an alien meme leaking to planet earth?

Picture of the Andromeda Galaxy, with an arrow pointing towards earth. The text for the arrow reads: “YOU ARE HERE”. And the bottom text reads: “AND GOD IS EXTREMELY CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR PEE PEE!”

I see very shitty things some doctors do. There’s no denying the lobbying of big pharma on doctors, and just a bunch of so much other stuff. And I see very shitty alternative/natural medicine trends that are absolutely baseless and result in neglect of the issue is or making things worse. The wellness industry is the next big pharma.
There are people who’ve gone to multiple professionals that all couldn’t help them but yoga made all the difference.
But on the flip side, good luck if you want to live your life without vaccines, diabetic medication, cancer medication, antibiotics etc. or wholesale taking advice from random places rather than from people who are dedicated to this subject and field in an evidence and experience based approach. - Comment on Contain them 5 weeks ago:

Yes, youuuu! Youuuuuuu’re adorable! You cutie, you! - Comment on How come laptops or pc's don't have a "webcam" facing both ways instead of just the user? 1 month ago:
Thank fuck they don’t.
It would have the same issue as these AI glasses. People will say they aren’t recording you or whatever, completely ignorant to the fact that they are not the ones in control of their devices. And if many laptops had that, the same Big Tech creatures would salivate over software updates to utilize this surveillance more.

Some might in some cases.
The downvotes alone are pretty clear messaging. But it’s alright, and my critique is of something that isn’t a big deal either way.

It’s literally in the sidebar rules, that it’s alright with [AI] tag. There’s a link for discussion about it too…
So going into threads and telling people to get out when they adhere to rules, it’s kinda fucked up.
It’s also literally the only AI content I’ve ever posted.

I don’t like anything with ‘sovereign’ in it because it makes me think of the Sovereign Individual and the big tech people preaching it.
I’d probably think of Jargon of the industry, words, phrases, etc. that people use who work all that infrastructure stuff at the core of your game. And then hope they inspire something. Some games that make think of this, for example: Tropico, Anno, Satisfactory

I was gonna joke that you could show up as a raging trigger-happy and bloodthirsty gun-fanatic. But in the current climate, that is probably a rather qualifying factor.
In all seriousness, if this is important to you there is no way around doing your own research. There are always ways.

Germany has quite the culture of draft dodging.
I remember all kinds of stories. Smoking like a chimney and getting drunk as fuck before and dressing like a tourist with a camera as you enter the mandatory meeting thing.
Of course the criteria to get drafted are different through places and time, but try to figure out the process, and what would eliminate you from getting drafted.
Also, it’s literally in one of those declassified CIA handbooks, that one of the ways to hijack an organisation from the inside is to be incompetent as fuck. Eager, but incompetent. Report any meaningless thing that technically is report worthy, to clog up the pipelines, make meetings way too long and talk about meaningless details.
- Comment on pwned: do you pronounce it as "pohned" "pawned" or "owned" 2 months ago:
Yup, I also think of chess when I read it, so pawned - turned into a pawn, demoted to the weakest piece, etc.

- Comment on Are Memoirs and Autobiographies partly fictional? How the f do people remember so much detail? 2 months ago:
On a related not, I don’t remember the best resources I’ve come across, but here’s something for a bit of an idea:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_errorLegally, there is the concept of contemporaneous notes in many countries. Meaning if you write something down shortly after the event occured it can have legal validity.
There is also hypnotherapy, EMDR, and other forms of therapy, where many people can access memories that they couldn’t. I was surprised myself how many memories I could access with EMDR.
I find the concept appears to be similar to meditation and lots of sensory information + association. How stuff felt, sounded, smelled, where you felt in your body etc.
Less related, but there’s also Method of Loci etc. to remember lots of very specific things
