- Comment on What's it going to take to truly stop the US? 1 week ago:
Do to the US what the US has been doing for 150 years.
Invest heavily in local anti government revolutionist organizations and support their efforts covertly. You know, like Russia and China have already been doing for 30 years.
- Comment on Among 2025 games with over 10K reviews, Deltarune is the most highly rated 1 week ago:
5k ish negative reviews and they seem to come in two flavors, multiplayer bugs and too repetitive.
- Comment on What're your strong opinions from an aged / dead fandom? 2 weeks ago:
There is an unreliable narrator happening here. The source of most of the information about the Alliance is from the crew. Notably, Shepard and Inara do not share those views. Zoe and Mal have very strong opinions about the alliance and the Doctor and River help feed that narrative. But the things they don’t say out loud paint a very different picture. I think had the show gone on, the brown coats would gradually have become another villain and Mal would have had to contend with the reality of who he was fighting for.

The brown
shirtscoats?? I think the point was they weren’t actually the good guys. The show kinda hits you over the head with that. Mal (which literally means bad) is the main character who goes out of his way to associate with other bad people, and do bad things. The show paints the Alliance as evil but if anything they’re just authoritarian and they’re up to some shady shit but 90% of the interactions with the alliance, Mal is actively breaking the law and has a reason to be afraid of them other than the alliance being evil. The Alliance is a simple allegory for the US. The brown coats an obvious allegory for the Confederacy which happened to spawn a bunch of old West outlaws that we turned in to folk heroes. The entire James Younger gang were confederate soldiers or their siblings.
- Comment on Can anyone recommend a logging blood pressure cuff that doesn't require an app or account? 3 weeks ago:
This is a physical cuff?
Put a physical journal on top of it. Write it down and keep those two things together. If you’re taking your blood pressure every day already it’s not a huge leap to stack a habit on top of it.
- Comment on The shop app says my package will arrive tomorrow but it hasn't even moved from its start point in Hong Kong yet 4 weeks ago:
You would need to gradually speed up the chicken, and keep it there for quite some time.
Spin launch. You put your chicken in a centrifuge and spin it up to something like 1500 miles per hour with an open cockpit. Then after a few minutes of ablative cooking you release the capsule towards your intended victim.
I suspect an air fryer might give you better results though.
- Comment on Is there a mechanism in the USA to undo presidential pardons years later if political corruption has been proven as motivation to give these pardons? 4 weeks ago:
They have no authority to enforce any law. And they have no legislative powers.
Rulings have been ignored multiple times because the judiciary just has no means to enforce what the executive branch refuses to enforce

- Comment on Is gold investing a scam? 5 weeks ago:
And that would be doable, realistically. Though there’s a bit of plastic on the bottom that would be quite difficult to replicate.
The point is they’re only useful as a currency. And really only to a society that can’t really make much. If society advances again to the point where a used bottlecap can be replicated, other systems will already have been established to make it less attractive.
- Comment on Is gold investing a scam? 5 weeks ago:
It’s almost certainly a joke but bottlecaps in a post civilization society would make a pretty decent currency, more so than gold.
They’re light, easy to carry, hard to reproduce and therefore scarce. They’re also useless for anything else. So if you happened to have a lot of caps laying around they might find their way to becoming a currency.
Gold is heavy, requires a lot of work to make it useful as a standard, and has other practical uses. Caps are actually better.

- Comment on If the US was partitioned, what new states would you want to appear? 5 weeks ago:
So fun thing about vanity, that historically refers to asking God for petty things that God would not care about.
Like winning a basketball game, or the lottery. It’s “vanity” to assume God would give a bother about things so unimportant just because YOU asked. Because whether or not you win is (theoretically) more about practice and application than divine intervention.
Though, obviously modern Americans don’t give a shit about what the words in the book actually fucking mean. They’re still likely to call it Jesusland, as likely as anything else, because even with the modern definition, they’re not likely to actually care. THEY are God’s chosen, and therefore THEY have special rules to go along with their special connection to Christ.
You may not blaspheme, though. You may not exist in their presence so long as you are not pious, upstanding, and white cis Christian. Though they wouldn’t call you cis, that’s for some reason a slur in Jesusland.

LPT could effectively break off, form it’s own country and win the upcoming water wars alone.

It’s particularly bizarre this time, it seems to have infected the home cook space too, every other recipe is about maximizing protein intake. I’m not sure where the sudden obsession came from and I have yet to find anyone who can give a clear even somewhat verifiable answer.
