Bad news about Discord, bro.
Also, Spotify.

You speak like you were an adult during that time. Were you outspoken against the incident then or can you remember people showing revulsion like we do towards the Billionaire/Trump-Class Epstein event?
- Comment on Beyond fucked up 4 days ago:
It was obviously acceptable then. They put it in a magazine to prove the point.

Horrid.
On a similarly infuriating note, the article states, “One user on X, @dvorstone, captured the public’s shock and dismay . . . They wrote, ‘I don’t think this country has, or even will, come to terms with the sexual corruption of the boomers. From the swinging to divorce to homosexuality, drag/transvestites, and pedophilia, they mainstreamed virtually every sexual degeneracy that has metastasized everywhere in our culture . . .”
None of those words belong with pedophilia in that sentence. Breezing by a careless association like that it is why we are in a horrid place right now. This is the sexual corruption of the boomers still at play. Fuck that guy.
A more suitable word would have been “conservative” or “religion,” since those are the key corrupters of civilized society in realtime.

The promise of the original game was never fulfilled but the gave we now gave us good in its own way.
Don’t expect “lone space adventure” and you’ll be ok. The game is a survival game at its core and requires you to gather materials . . . ^In space!^

I agree with you but cannot stand any attempt at becoming Souls-like.
That was not fun and ruined the power fantasy. Good thing the game was already over so I felt no remorse when I immediately stopped playing.
I’m probably in the minority but fuck Souls-like anything. Artificial difficulty spikes that revel in unfairly killing the player are never fun.

I’ve already answered all your questions if you read to understand instead of read to argue.
I know you’re assuming I’m just being difficult but I’m rolling my eyes at how obvious it is, the thing you refuse to see.
In a way, that’s probably . . . Escapism on your part.
- Comment on 'Colony Ship is a Dark Christian Sci-fi RPG' - Warlockracy 1 week ago:
My logic is sound and attempting to parse it leads you right back to my original statement.
If you’re going to get philosophical then I’d want to know what reality you’re trying to escape by doing so. Might I offer the chance to go look at a tree?
- Comment on 'Colony Ship is a Dark Christian Sci-fi RPG' - Warlockracy 1 week ago:
You’re throwing contradictory definitions into the same thought. Your second paragraph specifically contradicts your conclusion, for example.
I’m sure plenty of people assume that someone having an opposite idea from them is a “troll,” but you seem smarter than the usual Reddit reject.
Are you really not seeing what I’m pointing to or are you the one being a troll?
Escapism: Using any method to interpret reality instead of directly facing said reality.
So, if you’re using art to interpret the reality it portrays, you are directly engaging in escapism. Simpler: If you’re looking at a picture of a tree and using your imagination to marry it to the real thing, that is escapism. If you were not doing escapism, you’d go stare at the actual tree.
How strong is this whiskey?

I see. So what is escapism to you?
- Comment on 'Colony Ship is a Dark Christian Sci-fi RPG' - Warlockracy 2 weeks ago:
You realize you just described escapism in that second paragraph?
- Comment on 'Colony Ship is a Dark Christian Sci-fi RPG' - Warlockracy 2 weeks ago:
Art is escapism. Otherwise it’d be a structure instead of architecture.
There, I explained it to you.

What else is there? Filling out a task list?
- Comment on 'Colony Ship is a Dark Christian Sci-fi RPG' - Warlockracy 2 weeks ago:
But Christianity is a negative force in life. Maybe ignoring that truth fills the escapism requirent that is so essential to enjoying a video game.

Aight. I didn’t watch the video, to be fair.
An article I might have read but I’m all burnt out on Christianity doing all the evil shit in real life.
I wonder what demographic is seeking this specific game out as a form of escapism?

- Comment on STOP 2 weeks ago:
I started it a long time ago on Xbox and got distracted by other games (cough, Destiny 2, cough). To be clear, I didn’t mind what I briefly played.
Maybe I’ll try it on the Playstation 5 Pro. Maybe I’ll watch some YouTube videos first. I like games that pull me in and keep me in their world for a long time. Any suggestions?

Should I play this game? I’ve avoided it because it seemed like work.
You know what I’m talking about: “Gather this many sticks to make this bigger stick and it’ll all deteriorate if you don’t bind it with glue crafted from hot piss and gum! Oh and there’s a time limit. Survive!”
Is it that or actually fun and immersive?
