When I was a kid, my uncle would tie a sewing threads on the rear legs of a cockroach. Then throw it in the air and it would become a morbid balloon. I would often pull too hard and rip it’s legs out.
The 80s were weird.

Ya, you can force apps to run exclusively on the ram. I used to do this more often, but the setup is annoying. So to combat the lagging tabs, I also run the heavy web apps in different browsers. So Firefox does the generic browsing, edge does figma and teams. Chrome does asana and slack.

I have about 100 open tabs but its all heavy tabs. Figma, miro, teams, slack, asana, jira, slides, power point, and tons of other heavy web apps.

The CAS speed of memory start to matter once you get above 64gb of ram.
A system might actually slow down the higher you go if you have slow memory.

For me, it’s because of ADHD.
To combat this I installed 128GB of the fastest ram I could afford.
My computer still lags out after a week of never closing any tabs.

Oh fuuuuuck the DRM. I purchased CIV5 for my phone and it requires an active internet connection or it boots you out. I only play on an airplane. So I ended up downloading the pirated version so I can play the game I purchased.

I had an American friend who was hanging out with me in grade school. My mom asked if my friend wanted to stay for dinner in Taiwanese and he asked me if he should go home because he thought my mom was mad and yelling at me.

When I was a kid, we would just go to the local library and rent out the books and make copies at my leisure. If they didn’t have the book, the request for it was pretty simple and fairly quick.

I’m a straight man that went to a gay bar with a bunch of lesbian friends and got hit on by a very feminine gay man. He like the way I dressed and how well I was put together.
It was such a confidence boost and made me very happy.

I tried bleach, vinegar, a bunch of different enzymes. Just ended up giving up and buying a whole new dispenser and spout. Essentially was contaminated from the inside out.

I bought an old classic soda dispenser and I can tell you that no matter how much you clean the root beer spout, you will always taste root beer if you switch out the drink to coke.
Same goes for coke to sprite. You can taste the coke, it’s just not as bad as the root beer.

So what helped me was not using the blue/red light to time your parry. Focus on the weapons tip.
Also hold block and quickly releasing and repressing the block to engage the parry.

We do have pigeons, but it’s not as pervasive as NYC. We have more sparrows and large cranes.

We have these in Taiwan for different reasons. In Taipei, we have tons of foot traffic so these are designed to protect innocent bystanders.
Also in Taiwan, we have these nets on almost every escalator. It’s not required by law to have these, but every business just have them to protect people falling down.
