  At a busy crossing: sure

  At a completely empty crossing where the pedestrians to the right actually have a green light and you intend to go straight onto the bike path (because of course there was none where you came from): i don’t personally think so

  This is just one of those things thats is blown up and people thrown in one drawer together, just because there are some real jackasses on bikes, imo I don’t stop at a red light if its meant to prevent cars from turning left and they just decided the bike path next to the road that goes straight should also stop. A lot of traffic is just shit and as a cyclist doubly so, very often because it feels like everyone hates you or doesn’t even aknowledge your existence. And of course the angry drivers who hate you for cycling past them in their traffic jam

  Thats exactly the point, if you are on a 40h week and that doesnt cut it, something is very wrong. If you say to work extra as a bonus, well maybe. But if you need it to make ends meet it’s completely fucked imo.

  I understand that you can benefit if you play it correctly, but can you deny that it’s designed to fuck people over that don’t?   More like when it threatens some status quo or be inconvenient for them to deal with or might cause a shift to some power dynamics.

  I mean nobody(western leaders) gives a fuck about whatever is going on in Africa and Asia. And it’s quite literally mindboggling how the shit in Urkaine and Palestine is still ongoing without any major consequences for the aggressors other than mayyyybe harsh words or hurrdurr sanctions. Soo…as long as it does negatively not impact then, world leaders don’t give a shit about what other countries do.
