The very rich probably meet and socialize people who meet at expensive country clubs where one has to prove their wealth for Board approval.

In upstate NY too. Plus, there are lots of horse people here. They are just not racing horses usually.

My MIL and her husband once lived in a gated community in Florida that had a gated community inside the gated community… Like the outer one was the buffer zone. The inner one had actual professional security at their gates, not mall security gate keepers.

My grandparents never lived rich… my grandfather’s father did build a fortune in Long Island but most of it was lost during the 1929 crash and subsequent Depression. However, what they did do was save and invest and land values were inexpensive in the late 30s so they bought a house for $3K a few blocks from the bay. They always lived really modestly and volunteered, worked civil service type jobs, required all their kids to work after school and really just socked away every dime they could. When my grandmother retired, they bought a condo in Florida and became snowbirds. Our family still has that condo. After my uncle died (he was left the house for his lifetime), his brother sold it for over $600K. The rest of the Trust after my grandparents died was divided among the brothers and survivors of the ones that were already gone. They were never Hamptons rich though.

Fact is that Ayatollah was 86 and had cancer… he was going to die anyway probably in the next 5 years. We didn’t have to engineer 30K protesters murdered and 150 schoolgirls killed along with him and his wife. We could have been patient, like the Chinese. After all, it is not like Iran has a shortage of mullahs.

I hate the regime in Iran. I have a dear friend who was victimized by it. But also hate Benji N’s Israel and D. Trump and most of the ME surrounding who have done nothing for decades to control Iran. Oh noes! We have no ideas and no strategy so lets just send the Trump family a lot of money!

Some asshole on one of the forums I frequent stated that there was questionable information about the school. I responded that there was questionable information regarding his ethics and partisanship and I not only got blocked but my response was rejected… perhaps ‘CULT’ is a trigger word?

I have been active with my local antiwar org since the 1980s. It never fucking ends. But when the stupid people elect a felon… what did we expect?

He was going to die anyway. Why spend blood and treasure to murder a man who is 86 with a cancer diagnosis? Is critical thinking absent in our Pentagon? Yeah, lets get rid of this mullah… there are over a hundred other mullahs to take over for him. This is an established regime that has been in place for 50 years. 1 in 8 citizens in Iran work for the government… over 94 million population.

Have you not learned from Iraq? There is always another mullah. Al Quida was replaced by ISIS. WTF are we involved with the ME anymore? I mean, all those ME nations bombed by Iran, who encouraged the US to enter this (besides our welfare state Israel), well where are their fucking militaries? I guess they paid the Trump family off and felt they had hired their military of the US so our sons and daughters can die for those MFs. Need I remind people we send Israel over 3.8 Billion every year from our tax dollars? so… USAID and VOA does not deserve our few millions but Benji gets the billions and more in crisis and now American deaths. For those that cite 19 fucking 79 hostages… understand, our enlisted were not even born yet. They have no memory of that. Also… most were not even born by 1983 either. And the fact is, the federal military policy allowed that shit to happen.

He was a brutal fucking bastard… however, he was also 86 and had cancer. Maybe we could have waited 6 months and saved a lot of money and a lot of lives. Dude was going to die soon anyway.

- Comment on Not vaccinating is child abuse. 4 months ago:
Drinking unpasteurized milk is a great way to get TB among other things. Children who drink unpasteurized milk get the Bovine TB which infects the bones (spine, long bones, and joints), Another type of TB that primarily affects the spine is known as Potts disease. It is incredibly painful and contagious. It can be cured if treated early but often it is dormant and/or without symptoms in the early stages. Immunocompromised people are at higher risk of developing active bone TB. Thus, areas with high prevalence of HIV/AIDS have higher rates of active infection. However, any stress can activate TB (such as starvation). Feeding a child raw milk is child abuse.

Seriously, if a female pedo gets pregnant by her victim, that child needs to be taken away from her and put up for adoption. No way a young victim should be held responsible because that bitch raped him.
- Comment on Anon thinks there is a bicurious double standard 7 months ago:
Sorry, female pedos are as repulsive and degenerate as male pedos. All the stories of kiddie diddlers that are female teachers or nannies make me ill and inspire violence (which I refrain from) but they deserve to be locked up…for good.

- Comment on Anon thinks there is a bicurious double standard 7 months ago:
Um, no. I am an old Xer lady and we know men can be bi too. And like the ladies… sexuality is on a continuum. Some people just love to canoodle with young beautiful bodies no matter what flavor… and as we get older, old beautiful kind considerate people.

I think he is too young to be Luigi’d. He has capacity for reflection, contrition and transformation. But he did need to be checked, no doubt. Chances are this will not wake him up. His future will be in some minimum security prison for embezzlement or fraud or some other white collar crime.

But the ocean wants to kill you… (can’t blame oceans for wanting to kill humans but it is not your fault…). Therapy can be obtained in many different ways. I think maybe going to a therapist is for people who need motivation to care for themselves, need help starting to be healthy, compassionate and forgiving to themselves and get some coaching to find good ways to get there. We sometimes are in a place too low to help ourselves and need some help, a hand… guidance, encouragement and reinforcement that we are worth the trouble and energy.
- Comment on We really don't want to talk about our problems 8 months ago:
It is sad when you start considering going to rehab just to get 28-30 days away from work to de-stress, get sleep, meditate, do some inner work and work on healthy habits. Because if you are single and not reproducing, you don’t get maternity leave and if you are young or middle aged and relatively healthy, you aren’t getting any orthopedic surgeries that render you temporarily disabled…
- Comment on We really don't want to talk about our problems 8 months ago:
Ok, but in my experience, it is manflu they are whining about and having to do house chores while having it. Shit I deal with every fucking day.

Ah yes. The obligatory racist whinging on Juneteenth. Fat lazy bastard who doesn’t get to work before 11 am because he requires “executive time” (tv time).
