That would be a major character flaw of mine, when I fall for someone I will suppress myself because I know I have ADHD and when I get excited I can be a bit much. And let’s face it, when I first fall for someone I’m a bit excited.
I get what you’re saying but it is kind of a funny paradox, if you like being alone bring someone into that. But I know you’re saying find someone who’s ok with what I like, staying home a lot, and will understand when I randomly get up and go get on my computer because the ADHD brain just had an idea and needs to go down the rabbit hole “sorry Hun, I’ll be back in 5 to 7 hours” lol.
Thanks for the advice, it’s definitely something to think about and remember if I do find that special shut in hermit that completes me.
Well I have the dad belly… so that’s something! Also I do have an unhealthy love of dad jokes, and by unhealthy I mean one coworker has threatened me if I told another one…all in jest of course.

41 here, I was there too. It’s not that bad, just take care of yourself now. At your age I ate fast food, never exercised, and basically lived on caffeine, nicotine, and stress endorphins from working all the time. Now at my last check up, I’m overweight, my knees are shot, my back hurts all the time, and I have chronic acid reflux.
You are young enough that you can get a head start on aging, what you should do daily is exercise, eat healthy, and take some personal time/mental health time for yourself everyday to reduce stress. You don’t want to end up like me and be facing a huge uphill battle to get healthy.

La-A, it’s pronounced La-Dash-A
My mom taught nursing and La-A was one of her students, she said her mother had her at 15 after dropping out of highschool her freshman year and wanted a unique name for her.

LoL, two words I would not use to describe myself, hot and dad. Though I admit at this point in my life it is difficult to find someone who doesn’t have children. Yeah I know I’m gameable, that’s probably something that subconsciously is holding me back. I know that when I fall for someone, I fall hard. It’s not “thinking with the wrong head” it’s thinking “don’t screw this up because you’ll be alone forever”. Maybe now that I’m comfortable being alone I can be a bit more relaxed in a relationship.

Well for me it’s the twist-tie until I get down to the last few slices then I just spin the bag and fold it back over itself.
Why the twist-tie wasn’t listed is beyond me since I’ve never seen a store that didn’t have them as the majority of closure mechanisms.
Also, bottle cap? I honestly have no idea what that’s about.

Yeah, I googled “I’ve been waiting for this moment, Phil Collins” and multiple results showed up with the same answer. Should have opened up the lyrics and actually read them…

There were 5 that were toxic, the first one was a casual friend I ended up getting close with and started dating before we ever had sex. The next two were casual hookup partners that evolved into relationships, the fourth was actually a friend I had had since highschool and only started dating 15 years after graduation, and the fifth and final one was again a casual hookup that turned serious.
I admit as I wrote that out I saw the issue. In defense of the fourth one, she had some issues with her childhood, and the father of her children was … let’s just say not helping. We’ve reconnected after some time and are still friends, but agreed dating was a bad idea.

DAMN YOU GOOGLE! YOU HAVE FAILED ME AGAIN!!!
Seriously I knew it didn’t sound right but multiple Google results showed what I wrote so I figured I was remembering it incorrectly. Thanks for the correction.

Honestly I get it, I’ve been single for 11 years now. I went through a series of toxic relationships and the last one broke me. After her I decided to take a break from dating a try to figure out why I kept attracting only toxic women.
It’s been 11 years and I still haven’t figured it out, and now I’m in my 40’s and don’t really want to date again. What I’m trying to say is, take some time, heal, get your head straight, but get back out there sooner than later. It’s easy to fall into the “I’m happier single” mindset, but difficult to get out of.

Shitpost, but it did get me thinking. After doing the math, my ex’s daughter who I took to the park everyday after school will be graduating high school this month… and another ex’s son will be a senior next year. Yeah I’ve got nothing, time fly’s, blah blah blah.

I work in international freight for a mega corp, a few years back I was offered a position on days (I’m currently 3rd shift) with the promise of better hours, lower quotas, andquicker chance at promotion.
Day shift - spending all day on the phone getting yelled at by idiots who used a crayon and a napkin to hand write a bill of lading, and now are furious that I won’t break multiple federal and international laws to get their fucking crate of plastic trinkets across the border.
Night shift - processing international shipping documents while listening to podcasts and audiobooks. 1 or 2 drivers call per night with issues that require 1 maybe 2 phone calls to resolve, generally resolved in less than 30 minutes and almost always I only speak with other knowledgeable professionals in the industry.
Now that the promotion is just around the corner, the extra two years I spent on nights was worth my sanity.

Oh look at Mr. Big shot over here. The rest of us can only get hootie and the blowfish in a kiddy pool. Oh well good for you.
No worries, I should get going too, my girlfriend is waiting for me in Canada.
