Concise and to the point. My thoughts exactly.
- Comment on Don't worry it builds character 1 week ago:
Except the ride doesn’t stop under any circumstances, ever.
- Comment on Battlefield 6 Official Reveal Trailer 1 week ago:
Even in the pretty generic realm of military fps trailers, this one lacked the tiniest ambition of standing out. It almost dips into the realm of satire in it’s choice of themes and presentation which are all so obviously just lame rehashes of things we’ve all seen dozens of times before.
- Comment on Battlefield 6 Official Reveal Trailer 1 week ago:
This looks so generic I almost fell asleep. This franchise is on its last legs.
- Comment on Campaign asking EU to stop publishers "destroying" online games hit by anonymous transparency complaint 1 week ago:
At least we know how serious the industry is taking this now. And they still haven’t heard about the Streisand effect.
- Comment on How do you combat boredom? 2 weeks ago:
Start a family.
- Comment on Vibe coding service Replit deleted production database 2 weeks ago:
Is this real? Because it sounds like some low effort satire about blindly trusting LLMs and the totally expected outcomes. Surely no one can be this naive.
- Comment on Why doesn't Trump destroy or modify the Epstein files? 2 weeks ago:
If they tried to alter or destroy the files there is a good chance it would be found out, which would escalate the situation to a whole different level.
- Comment on Romero Games reportedly met with Microsoft just a day before the publisher pulled funding for the studio, and there was 'no mention' of the decision that put over 100 people out of work 4 weeks ago:
They took a huge bet on consolidation and it didn’t really pay off. Now they’re writing it off.
- Comment on Game Pass will "either kill everyone else, or give up", says Dishonored and Prey dev Arkane founder 4 weeks ago:
I tried GamePass PC until a whole bunch of my favourite games disappeared. So I had to buy them in the end l, which, given steam’s usual deals, was about the same as keeping my subscription. It’s not a great deal for discerning customers and people will notice.

Amen!

I get a feeling MS doesn’t want to be in the game production/publishing space anymore. They see bigger growth opportunities elsewhere. I personally believe that it’s a big mistake and the ai bubble will cost them dearly, but chasing very short term profitability has never hurt an executive.
- Comment on Robotaxis VS Reddit: Users Collect 11+ Videos of Tesla Robotaxi Incidents in First 36 Hours 5 weeks ago:
Either these “safety drivers” are staying, making the whole operation ridiculously expensive or they go, plunging the service into abject chaos. This is fun to watch from far away.
- Comment on The White House is paving over the Rose Garden with concrete. People are outraged 1 month ago:
People keep trying to attribute planning to what can be much more plausibly explained by idiocy. Trump is not “strategically” dozing the rose garden to distract from the real news, he’s just a tasteless brutish moron.
- Comment on Is Google about to destroy the web? Google says a new AI tool on its search engine will rejuvenate the internet. Others predict an apocalypse for websites. 1 month ago:
I agree with the above but would like to add that the results are hilariously bad and error-prone. I got results for a simple query about public holidays that were so wrong it was unusable. Once people get to experience the abysmal AI search regularly, they will just stop using it. Whether Google quietly kills it quick enough before people start using alternatives is the billion dollar question.
- Comment on Can we defederate hilariouschaos yet? 1 month ago:
As far as I’m aware hilariouschaos is already quite widely defederated. If they keep their right-wing idiocy up, more defederation will follow. OP directly along for it is fine.
- Comment on Can we defederate hilariouschaos yet? 1 month ago:
They will get defederated eventually, that’s the beauty of the fediverse. It might take a while, though.

Thanks I hate it.
- Comment on Embracer to spin off Coffee Stain Group – remaining business to be renamed Fellowship Entertainment 2 months ago:
Another publicly listed entity, the path for Coffee Stain is now set. Expect extreme monetization and dwindling quality. It’s not their fault, it’s what the stock market demands. Rip Coffee Stain Studios, I’ll remember the good times fondly.
- Comment on Microsoft set to pull the plug on Bing Search APIs in favor of AI alternative 2 months ago:
Ai search is the worst.

- Comment on Shower thought: Valve could do the ultimate boss-move this year 2 months ago:
Fedora bluefin is a much bigger project and a much larger paradigm shift in how Linux distros can be understood than what you make out to be. Tweaking system files might be a good choice for users who need to go beyond what comes with the standard, but it’s not something a wide majority of users will or should need.

I’ve seen it on my personal big screen and I doubt the experience would have been better in a theater.

Not every director is also a great writer and editor. There’s a reason making movies is a team effort.
