- Comment on Why is there such a negative connotation with the poos of horses, bulls, and bats? 8 hours ago:
Something fun I do to mess with people - insert other animals when you back the typical “bull shit” or “bat shit” proclamations.
“Ah human shit, I forgot my keys.”
“She’s hippo shit crazy.”
“That a bunch of otter shit.”
Never fails to get weird looks.

My bad. Didn’t proofread carefully.

It’s spyware because they sell every possible piece of data they can to date brokers. Like most of Silicon Valley, they are expected to have ever increasing profits that are completely unrealistic so they have to do fucked up shit that users hate to appease shareholders. Publicly traded companies are eating themselves because they’re all controlled by a handful of private equities now. Also, their disastrous AI implementation is leaving a lot of security holes as well. A lot of the world is moving to Linux for good reason
- Comment on What water bottles are completely free from the problem of weird chipping/shavings of the material which could put material in the water, even when dropping it or when using Bottle Bright tablets? 6 days ago:
My camelback stainless steel water bottle has none of these issues. You shouldn’t drink out of plastic if you can help it anyway.

If you’re using an oven, get one of those elevated air fry basket trays. I’ve done hot pockets in those before and they come out super crispy. Reusable so it’s a one time expenditure. Cook it about 10% longer than instructed to get it crispier. Air Frier Tray

Yeah, I always preferred the toaster oven for those things. Microwaves ruin most foods.

It is a ton of extra slow to degrade paper waste they are removing. Seems like a win to me. If they get crispy without the sleeve, who cares? Wrap it in a paper towel if you need to carry it out the door, that’s still less paper waste that degrades in the environment faster.

- Comment on Apple TV+ is painful as fuck 4 weeks ago:
I watch it on my Apple devices mostly. Never tried it on my linux computers but I will have to try. So I guess Apple made another half assed Windows app. I don’t use Windows unless work forces me because Microsoft destroyed their OS with bloat, unwanted data harvesting, and AI garbage.
- Comment on Apple TV+ is painful as fuck 4 weeks ago:
You can change the password settings to not do that easily. It’s a prompt you choose on initial set up that requires the password every time, after 15 minutes, or never.
- Comment on Apple TV+ is painful as fuck 4 weeks ago:
That’s weird. I’ve had Apple TV+ since it’s came out and never had any of these issues. It’s always worked seamlessly.
- Comment on [Marvel] There Is No Getting Back On This Ride 5 weeks ago:
It made big money. Just like everything with capitalism, it needs endless growth. Once it hit those big heights of earnings, Disney couldn’t help but to cannibalize its own product to attempt to grow the profits. Investor capitalism always leads to enshitification eventually.

It’s great. It’s super relaxing and a great way to stay at interesting places on the cheap. You can learn a lot of useful skills doing it as well. Humans lived most of our existence much more in the outdoors than today. I think it’s therapeutic to connect with nature in a more direct way like a lot of camping styles / locations can offer.
- Comment on 34% of the US population doesn't vote. Why do polticalitcians cling to the idea that these voters can't be reached? 1 month ago:
I thought you still had to file regardless, even if you aren’t paying anything. I filed when I was in college made under that limit working part time. Got money refunded from my taxes paid because I was below the poverty line.
- Comment on 34% of the US population doesn't vote. Why do polticalitcians cling to the idea that these voters can't be reached? 1 month ago:
They need to just put voting in with taxes. Everyone files taxes and if they aren’t at least filing them, then they shouldn’t vote. Setting up in person poling is expensive and takes a ton of volunteering and is a rush to happen over time. The IRS is already solid at record keeping and the infrastructure for data collection is there. We don’t need years of campaigning. Plus, it would kill the horse race aspect of things if the votes were all tallied as they go. I think it would make the whole system easier and would help with any voter verification issues. No one is filing taxes in duplicate to vote more than once. Lol

This is it. Conservatives are predominantly people with little to no empathy. That’s why they change their tune the moment things affect them.

Capitalism is a bubble machine. The stock market is propped up on hollow hype most of the time. This panicky bull shit system breeds instability.

- Comment on We're cooked, I'm hooked 2 months ago:
Yes. Capitalism was in an ideological battle with communism so the government put it thumb on the scale with socialism but gave credit to capitalism for the outcome. Then billionaires spent 75 years indoctrinating, corrupting, and distorting history to claw back their power.
- Comment on We're cooked, I'm hooked 2 months ago:
Seriously. This country couldn’t do a better job promoting socialism if it tried. Capitalism to a majority of people under 50 means instability and hardship.
- Comment on Do people really think setting up domestic manufacturing in the USA is easy? 2 months ago:
Not to mention any new factories will have drastically fewer jobs than the factories that left due to newer factories being highly automated. The cost of retrofitting existing factories has stopped many companies from upgrading to keep higher their quarterly profits for investors. If they are forced to build, they will invest in money saving long run cost savings like automation.
